All eyes were on them, watching their every movement.
The two members of Dark Pearl were being dragged by their foes. Ignis dragging Thunder and Lycan dragging Feline, both of them doing their best to fight their way out of their nemesis' grip, but in vain.
Feline wondered what might have happened at the camping site when the people must have realised the absence of her and Raiden.
The three Immortals had removed their masquerades but not the two Pearls.
They were pushed into the control room. Thunder and Feline looked around to see a high-tech control room. Lycan now had mixed feelings about revealing Feline's identity. He looked at her, wondering how she felt and what her father would feel.
In front of the numerous screens was a tall, muscular man with his back turned to them.
He wore a black turtleneck top and black pants. It was her father, Aldric.
Aldric turned towards the two Pearls and sent a glare in their direction. "Well done kids. You finally caught them."
Aldric didn't show any emotion. The only thing on his face that could be seen was a bit of anger. Andres felt sad for his commander.
How would he feel when he sees his innocent, beautiful daughter under the masquerade?
Feline and Thunder were forced onto their knees with the three Immortals standing right behind them. Feline's long hair fell open from her high ponytail as a result of her constant struggle.
"Remove their masquerades," Aldric commanded, making the Pearls's eyes widen in fear, a whimper of fear falling from their lips.
Andres first went to Thunder and despite his protests caught his face and removed his masquerade.
Aldric couldn't believe his eyes. He struggled to speak for a few minutes. The expression and emotions on his face held anger, bewilderment and sadness.
"Raiden, you? But why? How can you do such a thing? You were like my son. No, this–this can't be–"
Raiden looked away but with no shame or guilt in his eyes. Of course, he wouldn't be ashamed or guilty. No one from the Dark Pearl would be.
They did it on his command. Not on their own will.
Aldric was about to say something else when Andres spoke up, "Wait till you see her face."
Andres slowly moved towards Feline and so did Aldric. He was clearly afraid of what was to come now.
Feline looked at Andres and then at her father fearfully.
If seeing someone who was like a son to him be a Pearl was less heartbreaking than seeing Feline's face then who was she?
Andres stood in front of Feline who was trying to free herself. The movements caused her hair to fall on her face.
Andres softly and gently cupped her jaw and removed her masquerade.
Her long hair was shielding her face from Aldric and all the people present in the control room.
Andres looked into her eyes for a while. Her eyes seemed so scared, desperate as if begging him not to reveal her face.
He saw how her lips trembled, the way her eyes seemed so moist until a tear slipped down her eye.
Getting so absorbed into her eyes and her beautiful face he didn't realize how long he had been there.
Aldric calling out his name snapped him out of his trance.
