☆♡A Cute New Friend☆♡

She tugged at her white oversized sweatshirt and looked around.

The rain was pouring down heavily. Esmeralda had got detention for coming late to the class and then arguing with her teacher about it and was still on the school premises.

She was standing near the window looking at the rain. Raiden wanted to stay with Esmeralda but got a call from his aunt and uncle saying that they would be going out so he had to stay at home.

Esmeralda looked at the clouds and there was certainly no way that the rain would stop before two hours. She made a sad face and put her hands in the pockets of her jeans shorts.

She pouted and looked around, a familiar cologne drifting close to her.

"You can walk with me if you want to."

Esmeralda recognized the voice and tensed slightly but at the same time, she was a tad bit excited too. She considered herself a fool for being a bit excited.

She turned around to see Andres wearing blue jeans and a white full-sleeved t-shirt. "No. It's okay." Esmeralda said blushing slightly.

"It's alright. You can come with me. I do have an umbrella."

Esmeralda's eyes shifted to the umbrella in his hands before she averted her gaze towards him again.

"Okay."

She was glad that she took his offer. It was raining cats and dogs, and she was glad to be sharing an umbrella with her nemesis than dripping in the rain.

Although she wondered why he would even want to be close to her and especially share an umbrella with her.

The walk was silent. No one of them talked. Although they were walking in complete silence it was kind of comfortable for both of them.

Esmeralda took a deep breath and looked around not noticing many people or vehicles around.

Her hair which was tied into a messy bun became loose and she removed her hair clip. Twisting and turning her hair she made a cute messy bun and secured it with the hair clip.

She looks so beautiful even with messy hair. Andres couldn't help but think about it.

"Did you finish your assignment yet?"

"What assignment?" Esmeralda furrowed her eyebrows, not recalling anything about any assignment.

"The assignment you were talking about at the ball." Andres smiled softly at her.

Esmeralda's eyes widened in surprise and fear. She gaped at him, "Shit. I forgot."

Andres laughed slightly and bit his lip to prevent himself from bursting into full-blown laughter.

Damn, he looks hot when he bites his lips. Esmeralda looked at him.

"Well, now that's too bad."

"I know. I'll copy Deirdre's with a few of my alterations of course." Esmeralda gave him a sheepish smile which he returned by giving her a shy smile.

"Did you get detention? I didn't see you though." Esmeralda looked at Andres.

"No. I was having an extra class along with a few other students. Mr Fai was teaching us."

Esmeralda nodded and became silent, watching the ripples in the puddles of water.

A light bark made her snap her attention to her surroundings. Her eyes fell on a cute puppy. It had tiny, cute little eyes and golden fur.

Esmeralda began running towards it without warning and Andres had to run after her, holding the umbrella on top of both their heads.

Esmeralda crouched in front of the puppy who had its tongue out and was wagging its tail.

"Aw. It's so cute." Esmeralda began petting it. As soon as her hand came in contact with its head, the puppy gave a bark of contentment and then leapt into her arms.

"What breed is it Andres?"

"Well, Golden Retriever. But I can't be one hundred per cent sure Esmeralda."

She nodded her head and looked at the puppy again. "I want to keep it."

Andres chuckled lightly, "I have no problem with that. But you gotta ask your parents about it."

Esmeralda's face fell a bit when she heard him say so because she wasn't sure if her parents might let her keep the puppy.

Seeing her face Andres immediately corrected himself, "I am pretty sure your parents will allow you to keep this puppy."

"Maybe."

"Let's take you to your home. You can ask your parents then, okay."

Esmeralda nodded and took the puppy in her arms. She looked so happy and excited. Andres looked at her face while she was busy looking at the puppy with happiness.

Andres could see the pure innocence on her face. He had the sudden urge to kiss her on the cheek. But of course he wouldn't do that. It could make her feel a bit uncomfortable.

They continued to walk in silence not knowing how to start another conversation.

Suddenly Andres had another topic to talk about and turned to Esmeralda, "What gown did you buy for the wedding?"

"A burgundy gown. I am gonna look lovely in that dress." Esmeralda smiled, imagining herself wearing the spectacular dress and walking in front of them all.

"Sure. I know you will. I'll be waiting for you to walk down the altar." Andres blushed making Esmeralda blush even harder than him.

"Thank you" Esmeralda smiled shyly.

"Bye Andres. Thank you."

"It's alright Esmeralda. Bye."

Andres walked away when Esmeralda went inside her house. Both of them were bursting out of excitement.

"Raspberry-lemon white chocolate domes, Rose Panna Cotta with Raspberry compote, mini Blueberry mousse cakes with mirror glaze, blood orange mascarpone, strawberry semifreddo and mille-feuille with berries."

Estella was talking to her co-workers, the wedding planner and Bella on video chat.

"Thank you, Estella. You and some of your co-workers are responsible for baking the wedding cake okay? Bella had already chosen the cake so you know the design and the pattern. We're relying on you and your co-workers for the perfect desserts and cakes." Georgia spoke up, a lopsided smile on her face.

"Don't worry Georgia. We can handle it all. I gotta go now. Bye."

Esmeralda hesitantly walked to her mother and showed her the puppy.

"Can I keep it mama?" she looked at her with unsure eyes.

Even if her mother did refuse she would keep it anyway, that's how stubborn she was.

"Of course Tinker Bell." Estella kissed Esmeralda on the cheek. "Why are you so late? Did you get detention?"

"Yeah." Esmeralda bit her lip.

"You didn't get wet in the rain Esme?"

"Actually, um, Andres walked me home. He had an umbrella." Esmeralda was suddenly interested in the floor and her puppy.

"Really?" Estella teased, a teasing smile on her face.

"Yeah, whatever. It's not like your ship's gonna sail Mama."  Esmeralda pouted, making a funny face at her mother.

"Of course it will. Trust me, you and Andres are gonna be a pair." Estella hit Esmeralda's arm playfully.

Esmeralda stuck out her tongue and went upstairs. She threw her bag on the bed.

She looked at her puppy and held him in her hands. She wanted to give him a suitable name.

Not those extremely common names like 'Tommy' or 'Bruno'. Something unique and rare yet pretty and powerful.

Looking at her surroundings to find some suitable name she got up. She remembered reading about a mythical three-headed dog in Roman or perhaps Greek mythology.

"Cerberus."
