"I think I am gonna puke."
"Esme...........don't worry. I promise nothing will happen to us." Lycan assured her, although he himself could shit his pants any moment.
They looked at each other one last time before putting their snorkels on and diving into the freezing cold water.
They could both feel a very different sensation in their chests before they dived into the water. For a split second, they thought that they would either die or drown.
It took a while to get used to the feeling.
The water body was huge. According to Estella, it would take them at least twenty minutes to reach the lab if they swam at a good speed.
The water body was dark as it was night. Thankfully the night vision contact lenses given to them by their scientists allowed them to see their surroundings. But the water was dark nonetheless.
Feline, a victim of thalassophobia and submechanophobia had a problem breathing due to fear and thought she might collapse any moment.

A gasp of breath left Feline's lips when she finally touched land.
Lycan immediately got up removing his snorkel and motioned Feline to follow.
Feline followed him and used her emerald-black laser beam to cut the electric fence. The broken part of the fence fell with a thud as they carefully walked in.
It was eerily quiet.
The eerie silence and the dampness of her dress made a shiver run down her spine, much to her irritation and discomfort.
"Look," Lycan whispered softly, motioning with his head to look at something in front of them.
They carefully opened the sliding doors to reveal a ghastly corridor. No one was there, not even a soul.
'So much for security, huh', Feline thought in wonder until she remembered what her mother told her.
No security on the ground floor and in the underground lab.
Feline tapped his shoulder, motioning with her fingers to go to the underground lab.
He nodded gravely before they ran to the underground lab.

"Strange," Lycan whispered as he easily opened the door to the underground lab.
Feline who was beside him looked inside to see a dark room dimly lit by the stone Estella had talked about and a lamp.
Lycan's eyes widened when he saw the mad scientist Estella talked about, repairing something that looked like a robot's arm under the light of the lamp.
While Lycan's eyes widened in horror and caution, Feline's eyes widened at the condition the idiot was in.
Dirty, shabby clothes, a terrible piece of material for footwear and matted hair that looked like it hadn't been washed or combed in months.
Feline took a deep breath, "Let's go. He can't hear properly."
Lycan nodded, though still fearful. They cautiously walked towards the stone and lifted the glass it was kept inside, ready to destroy it.
Crack.
They both looked up to meet a horrifying image, something they might never get out of their minds, ever.
"We're fucked."
"Yeah, no shit honey."
The ugly but scary and giant robot lifted its arm, fisting its robotic fingers as it brought its fist down with full force.
