"Whoa."

Aldric along with a few other Immortals had finally come to the Dark Pearl's headquarters and it was awesome. They were all gaping at the interior. It was perfectly built.

The Immortals were all now aware of the reason behind the forming of the Dark Pearl.

"Here." Estella motioned them towards what seemed like the control room.

As they entered, the light of several screens hit their eyes. The screens held information about chemicals, DNA analysis and structures, a complete plan layout and many more.

When everyone took a seat Estella pressed a button and all the screens showed only one picture. It seemed to be a headquarters with very much the same design as the ones of Dark Pearl and Immortals.

"This is Leopold's headquarters and Science lab." Estella began. "He conducts all of his experiments here, gathers information about potential candidates and trainees and forms various, advanced chemicals to alter their DNA.

This is no ordinary headquarters. It has high security which not only includes lasers but also aerial attacks on any intruder. It is deadly."

"How are we going to get into the headquarters?"

"Not 'we'. Just them." Estella nodded towards Esmeralda and Andres who were sitting next to each other.

"Them?" Bryan, Aldric's chief scientist asked, in a tone that was a bit too haughty and arrogant.

"Why? You got a problem with that?" Estella asked in her dominant tone, making Aldric smirk proudly.

"Um well, no. But if these two are the only ones going to carry out the mission then why are we here?" Bryan asked, pointing at the other Immortals.

"For backup." Estella gave him a small, dry smile.

"Oh."

Estella cleared her throat and continued, "One of Leopold's men works for me."

Her statement caused all the eyes to cast themselves on her.

"He was forced to work under Leopold. I had somehow convinced him to work with me and give me all the information about Leopold. Luckily, he controls all the security systems.

He will make sure that all the security systems are off when you two get in. But he can only keep them off for a maximum of three minutes. You can't teleport into his headquarters neither can you teleport out of his headquarters."

"Horrible." Andres sighed, looking at Esmeralda who was busy looking at her mother.

"Yes. As soon as the security goes off I want you both to climb up this electric fencing. Leopold's science lab is underground. Get into the lab and you'll see a bright red stone. It is nothing ordinary. The stone is the source of all the power he and his trainees get. Destroy the stone and get out of the place in thirty seconds. Even a millisecond later than that and you're dead.

Also, there will be no security on the ground floor and the lab as per Leopold's commands. And there will be no human trainees there. They are all robots. I am the one who trains humans now. He only trains robots and machines."

Aldric looked at Estella in awe. He never expected his wife to be a tough and smart leader like that.

Esmeralda shuddered in fear and Andres asked Estella a question whose answer made their heartbeats stop for a while.

"When do we carry out the mission?"

"Tonight."
