The faint sound of Esmeralda's footwear on the ground was the only thing that could be heard in the forest.

The only reason why she came to this place was to relax her mind and get away from the camp. She seriously couldn't relax there. She needed to be alone.

The clear night sky made the thousands of twinkling stars visible. The huge and tall coniferous trees made it a bit difficult for her to see more than fifty metres ahead.

Her gaze fell on the beautiful night sky as she admired the beautiful view around her. She felt peace, being surrounded by the beauty and serenity of nature.

The light sound of footsteps alarmed her and she turned back only to come face to face with Andres who had a calm yet deadly expression on his face. She was a few steps away from him.

Either Esmeralda was hallucinating or she had literally lost her mind because, for a split second, she saw another emotion in his eyes.

An emotion that was far from hate before he once again filled his eyes with the previous emotion.

Andres gave her a knowing look, walking towards her. She took two steps backwards in slight fear, her intentions being noticed by Andres.

''Not going to hurt you,'' he said calmly, walking slowly.

She calmed down a little, although not trusting his words completely.

He looked into her eyes before speaking up.

"I didn't expect you to be a nyctophile and selenophile like me."

"I'm an astrophile too." she whispered softly, turning back.

Andres gave a small, beautiful smile to no one in particular and walked towards her. He stood next to her and they both together watched the ripples on the lake.

''Why do you still like me?'' he asked her suddenly. She just wished to not answer his question, but did it anyway.

''Why do you still like your biological mother?'' she retorted back.

He looked at her in surprise, kind of shocked at her question.

''The same reason. It's hard, get it? It's hard to get over your feelings for someone, even if they have left you. You never were with me in the first place to leave me, but still we weren't on bad terms until a few days ago.''

Andres looked at her for a while before looking at the ripples of the water again.

''I never really liked living in the real world, you know? There's nothing much magical about it.'' Her voice softly came out of her lips.

He looked at her and smiled slightly. They did have things in common, even if they didn't know it.

''I prefer silence over people most of the time. But I don't like being lonely though.'' he confessed, earning an extremely beautiful smile from Esmeralda.

They stood in a comfortable silence for a while.

''Feline.'' he began in a serious voice, making Esmeralda's body tense. ''That's you right?''

She didn't answer.

"Why are you plotting against your father Feline? Why?" he asked her softly.

''Don't call me by that name. I despise it. I never wanted that name.'' Her voice and body shook, but it didn't matter to Andres.

Andres looked at her with angry disbelief, ''Why, is it not stylish enough for you? You chose that name the day you decided to go become a criminal.''

"You know nothing about it. So shut up." Esmeralda's voice cracked slightly. But her harsh tone surprised him.
