I was laying on something sharp.

Glass.

The windows had bursted and now the floor was covered with small, sharp glasses that pieced my arms and legs.
I slowly opened my eyes, aware of the heavy headache that felt like someone had kicked me in the head multiple times.
I tried to make out my surroundings but all I could see were bodies. Dead ones.
Most of the people if not all had died from the explosion and I honestly couldn't figure out how I wasn't dead.
I pushed myself up with all the strength I had.
I grunted as my palm was pushing down on the shattered glasses. There was blood covering my exposed leg and I wasn't sure if it was mine. I tried to move but it definitely felt like I had either broken or injured something.
Grunting I grabbed one of the remaining chairs and slowly rose to my feet, still holding the chair for support.

"Bonnie?" I called out, hoping my best friend was somewhere near. My voice coming out hoarse and tired.

But Bonnie didn't respond. She was nowhere to be seen.
Instead another voice filled the empty room that made my blood freeze.

"Anyone alive raise your hand."

My eyes snapped to the opposite side of the room at Kai who had just entered.
He was too covered in blood, his white shirt stained with the crimson liquor.
He looked both terrifying and handsome in hit suit.

"Oh Jenny. Good I was too afraid you had died from the explosion." He faked a concerned voice.

My heart beat was so fast you could practically see it through my chest. I stared at him in complete shock.
There was no one else in the room. Well no one else alive. I wondered if this was how I would die.

"Would you be a doll and let me feed." He took a few steps closer to me and I felt tears streaming down my face but I wasn't in a state to speak. I could only stare at him in terror.
"Feed? " I heard myself asking. I couldn't understand what he was saying.

Kai grinned with menace. His eyes turned black and purple veins circled his face. A pair of sharp fangs appeared as he smiled widely.
For a second I really thought I was dreaming and this was a nightmare. That I would wake up at any moment.

Kai kept walking towards me slowly.

"Kai please... what did you do..?" I asked in a trembling voice.

"I thought." He started "I thought being a coven leader, a witch would never be enough. I wanted to be something more. Powerful. " His tone switched from serious to a mocking one making him even more scary.

A heretic, I thought.

Just when I was convinced I was indeed living a nightmare a strong voice came through.

"Leave her alone."  Bonnie said in a low but steady voice, pointing her extended hand at Kai.

Damon, Stephan and Elena were standing behind her and i've never been more relieved to see my friends.

Kai laughed hysterically like it was the most amusing thing he had ever heard.
"Please do try to do magic Bonnie." He said.

Bonnie's eyebrows knitted in confusion.
"Motus." She said with confidence.

But nothing happened.

"I've put a spell Bonnie. No magic way out for you this time. Not here." Kai said, a devilish grin spreading in his face.

Suddenly he was behind me, one hand wrapped around my throat and the other on my waist.
"Kai please..." Elena pleaded, her panicked eyes found mine, desperately trying to assure me it was gonna be okay. He wouldn't kill me. But we both knew this was a lie.
