3rd Pov
Everyone, except Caroline who stayed with her mother, gathered at Elena's dorm to see what they would do. Kai seemed like he wasn't willing to merge with Luke and Jo was nothing but ready to practice this type of magic. One week just wouldn't do it.
Bonnie and Damon were still trapped in the prison world, so there was also that.
Jennifer burried her face in her head and let out a long breath. She was still shaken up from what Kai pulled in the hospital. One moment he was helping Caroline's mother without anyone asking and next he was being so cold and distant.
She didn't believe he was actually a sociopath as he said. Jennifer thought that he had convinced himself he was one and acted like one but deep down his feelings were still there. A tiny string of empathy was hanging on for dear life inside of him and she wanted to make sure it wouldn't vanish.
She had dozed off, thinking about Kai that she didn't notice Jo calling her name.
"Jennifer, are you with us?" She asked again.
She lifted her head and nodded. She hadn't heard a word. "I am sorry I dozed off. What did you say?" She smiled shyly at Jo.
"She said that for some reason our brother seems to be a little fond of you. Which is weird considering Kai has never had that before." Liv spoke.
She had her arms crossed over her chest and was staring at Jennifer a little suspiciously. For some reason their father had sent these dreams to Jennifer. For some reason he felt she needed to see how vile and evil Kai could be. But Liv couldn't imagine why anyone would need any more proof of why her brother was evil.
Jennifer stared at the blonde girl, who seemed eager to listen to her answer. She had none to give, though. She had no idea why Kai had chosen to be semi decent with her. Well, at least in Kai's way decent. At first she believed he was using her to get back but Jennifer felt there was more to it.
She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know why Kai is like that. The only thing I do is try to not anger him but that's about it."
Liv lifted one eyebrow. "Nothing happened in the prison world? Why did my father sent you those dreams?" She pushed for an answer.
"What dreams?" Jo chimed in.
Before Jennifer could give an answer Liv spoke again.
"Dad sent these dreams to Jennifer. Part of what happened the night Kai murdered our siblings." Liv spoke quietly like it was a secret or something she wasn't supposed to speak about.
