"Alice? Earth to Alice?" Aaron waved his hand at me a few times. He took another bite of my cotton candy. Yes, it was officially his now. I sighed looking at him biting my cotton candy and mumbled, 'Hmm. What?' He grinned brightly, showing his white teeth and exclaimed, 'Let's go ride that Ferris wheel.'
He grabbed my hand and ran towards the Ferris wheel entrance. I was still confused and I just followed his lead. Looking at him running excitedly and he looked so handsome. My heart skipped a beat. Do I really falling in love with him?
We were waiting in line for our turn to ride the Ferris wheel. I had been spending time with him for nearly two hours in the carnival. Only one more hour left for me to go home. A part of me was sad that this might be the only time we were able to spend time with each other.
"Okay, let's go." Aaron smiled as we entered inside the seat of the Ferris wheel.
There was only two of us in the seat and the ride seemed slow and peaceful. All the rides we rode before were so thrilling and fast. It is scary yet thrilling. I screamed at the top of my lungs when we took a ride on the rollercoaster. I almost lose my voice due to the loud screaming. However, this one seems so calm and peaceful. There was a peaceful silence between us until he asked something that I will never forget. It will always be the most beautiful memory in my life. No words can express my feelings at that moment.
"Alice?" he looked at me. He was playing with his hands and I could sense his nervousness. I looked at him, smiling politely and asked, 'Yes, what is it?' He stared at me and said something that is ridiculous, 'You have the prettiest smile I ever seen.'
'Stop joking, Aaron. What do you want to tell me?" I rolled my eyes, hiding my embarrassment.
"Alice. I like you. I like being with you. Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked.
"Aaron? Is this a joke? How funny." I laughed, unsure what to answer.
"Do you think my feeling is a joke?" he asked.
"No..."I said, feeling bad.
"So...Alice? Do you feel the same way towards me?" he asked.
"Yes. I do like you, Aaron. I would love to be your girlfriend." I smiled.
Aaron smiled and cheered immediately. I was shocked and cannot believe it. Is this a dream? Do I have a boyfriend now? Now what? It was such a beautiful day. I will always remember this moment for the rest of my life. It was a beautiful day. The day I fall in love with you so deeply.
Aaron and I walked hand in hand after we exit the Ferris wheel section. We ate dinner together as a couple. Our first dinner together. It was so exciting. I cannot wait to tell Jeremy and Kathy later.
"So. Is today our first day as a couple?" Aaron grinned.
I nodded shyly at him. Aaron ruffled my hair and smiles at me.
"15th of July. The best day of my life. I will remember this date." He said.
"You are so funny." I giggled.
"When is your birthday? I want to remember it too." He asked.
"It is already passed. It's on 30th June." I said, pouting at him.
"Don't worry. I'll give you something special next year. I wish we meet sooner and fall in love with each other." He smiled.
"How cheesy. I will wait for the present later. " I punched him playfully.
"But my birthday is coming soon. So prepare some gifts for me." He grinned.
"I know that." I rolled my eyes.
"Really? You know when is my birthday? I haven't tell you yet." He replied. He smirked at me, wriggling his eyebrows. I bit my lip, blinked and said, 'Umm... There is your birthday date on your twitter profile?'
He pretended to be shocked and said, 'Oh right. I put it on twitter.' He then added, 'Hey. Does that mean you are looking at my profile?' I hide my face, trying to hide my embarrassment, stuttering 'Umm.. No!' He chuckled, grabbing my hand, and headed out of the restaurant, 'How cute. Let's go. Time for you and me to go home.'
Aaron and I walked towards the carnival entrance and waited for Jeremy and Kathy. We chatted for a little while. 10 minutes later, I heard Kathy's voice. I turned around and saw her. I waved at her, signaling her to come towards me. Kathy nodded and shouted, 'Alice! I am coming over there!' Kathy then ran towards me and she stopped when she saw Aaron standing beside me.
She made a snickering face at me and turned to look at Aaron, greeting him, 'Oh, hi, Aaron.' She waved. Jeremy nodded and said hi to him as well. Aaron smiled, greeting them and also bids good bye, 'Hi there, Kathy. Jeremy. I have to go now. Good bye, guys.' Soon after, Aaron was out of sight, Kathy linked her arms with mine and asked, 'So did you actually plan on meeting here or was it fate?' I scoffed at her and replied, 'It was a coincidence! I swear it was.' Jeremy added, 'Well, sounds like fate to me.' Then, Kathy wriggled her eyebrows and asked, 'So... Are you two....?' I looked at them, hesitated whether to tell them now or later. I stuttered, blushing, 'No! I mean Yes!'
Jeremy looked at me with a smirk on his face, asking me, 'No or yes? What do u mean?' Kathy nudged my elbow, waiting for an answer from me as well. I smiled, trying to break off the eye contact I made and blurted, 'Aaron and I are dating each other.' Kathy let go of my hand and jumped in joy. She ran towards Jeremy and squealed, 'Oh my God!!! We can go on a double date!' I laughed seeing her reaction, replying, 'Okay, then.'
A few seconds later, she stopped squealing. She came towards me and shook my arm, demanding for me to spill all the details to her, 'Tell me everything about what happen!!' Kathy shook my arm a few times, looking excited to know how did it happened. Jeremy interrupted us, did a heavily sighing and said, 'Girls and their never ending dramas. Let's go home.'
We went home by bus and throughout the journey back home, Kathy kept on asking questions in more details. It was funny and embarrassing telling this moments to your friends. As soon as I arrived home, I quickly took a shower and began to lay on my bed.
