I slumped onto the couch, again, and watched as everyone gathered in the kitchen for another cookie. I had finished all of the batches and gave everyone permission to stuff their faces. I closed my tired eyes and laid down on the couch.

Then Superboy came over and sat next to me. "Hey," he said. "Tired?"

To tired for sarcasm, I just nodded, "Yeah."

He laughed a little. "By the way, you saved a lot of lives today, I hope you know that." I sighed. "Without you, that disease could have spread to the world and could have killed everyone. But you said something and saved everyone. Everyone is now just fine."

I snorted. "Yeah, whatever."

And with that, he stood, walked away, and I fell asleep.

I woke up the next day at five in the morning. I stretched, yawned and got up. I looked over and saw that there was a set of clothes and toiletries on the coffee table. Apparently, I had earned a shower and clean clothes. I sighed with relief, got the stuff and went into a bathroom. I then stripped down, started a shower, and got in.

The warm water felt awesome on my skin and I scrubbed the crap out of my hair and scrubbed my body. I then closed my eyes and just stood there for a few minutes, thinking about Harley. She and Cat Woman probably weren't worried about me all that much, but still. As soon as they walk into that apartment and discover that no one has been there for a few days, someone is gonna flip.

I finally got out of the shower and pulled the clothes on. It comprised of jeans, tennis shoes, underwear, a bra, and a dark blue tank top that matched my hair. I took a towel and rubbed my hair with it and it was dry pretty quickly.

I then walked back downstairs and saw Black Canary training with Wonder Girl. I leaned on the doorway and watched them. Needless to say Wonder Girl was getting her butt kicked, but not too badly.

Finally, Wonder Girl hit the ground and she lost.

Black Canary saw me and said, "Want to give it a shot?"

I shrugged and walked over, "Sure, why not? I've been peckish for a little fight."

Black Canary got into a defensive stance and I did as well. Knowing how heroes fight, I struck out first and I was a hell of a lot faster then she anticipated. I was completely refreshed and wide awake, unlike last time. My foot hit her face fast, then, I flew up and around her, and drop kicked her in the back knocking her forward. But, she was a freaking ninja, so her hands outstretched and she sprung forward. Her eyes widened in shock.

I smirked. "There is a reason why I've been able to avoid Batman and Nightwing for so damn long."

She smiled. "So I see."

This time, she lashed out first and I dodged to the side to avoid her kick and was careful to avoid getting closer to her. I then slid to the left and swept my leg under hers and knocked her over. But, before we could do anymore, Batman suddenly showed up and stopped us.

"Blue Jay," he said to me, "I need you to go with Nightwing back into Gotham city."

I lifted an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Because I know that you know the underground catacombs like the back of your hand," he said. "You've always been able to escape us and then turn up somewhere else on the other side of town and not even show up in the air."

I narrowed my eyes. "Fine. What are you trying to find?"

"Why would we tell you that?" Nightwing suddenly asked as he walked in. "The point is that I really do need you. So, are you in or what?"

I sighed. "Yeah, fine. Whatever."

I got to go back to Gotham via Zetta Tube! Yay!

Thankfully, we were right next to an entrance and I shoved him inside. Unfortunately, the entrance was underground next to a sewer. I jumped down next to Nightwing and took out my flashlight. The scent was awful, but it was expected. "Follow me," I told him. "And I'd keep your mouth shut if I were you. I'm not the only one who knows about these catacombs."

"Duly noted," he whispered.

I got in front of him and led the way to the entrance. I narrowed my eyes as I spotted one of the familiar entrances. The lock had been kicked open so many times that you could just push the door open. So I did and I beckoned Nightwing to follow again. We sloshed through the murky water and I breathed in through my mouth to try to block out the scent.

"And to think," I muttered, "I wasted that beautiful shower this morning for nothing."

Nightwing chuckled a little. "It happens."

I rolled my eyes and continued down the tunnels. Finally, we hit where the skeletons were. "Okay, spill it, what're you looking for?"

"An alien artifact," he replied while shining the light in all directions.

I sighed. I knew exactly what he was talking about. I had seen it, and I had taken it...a long LONG time ago.

"Uh, Nightwing?" I asked. "Was this artifact lime green with a golden rim and silver writing?"

Nightwing stopped. "Crap. Where is it, Jay?"

I laughed nervously. "Well... you see-I found it here when I was ten and I sold it off to the highest bidder for 1.7 million and used the money to bail Catwoman out of prison. I have no idea where it is now."
