I sat at the front of the ship, staring down at the ocean with Ace's hat in my lap.

"You nervous?" Marco asked, picking up Ace's hat from my lap and examining it. He does that sometimes, but normally it's... on Ace's head. "A little bit, but I know we'll be able to get Ace away safely." Damn, even I don't think I sound convincing. "Okay, admittedly, I'm freaking horrified. But I'll.. I'll be fine once we get there."

Marco placed Ace's hat on my head, and it fell over my eyes. How big did I make this thing? "Thanks, Marco." You held it by the edges, swinging my dangling legs over the water. "Hey, do you happen to remember if I made this waterproof?"

He looked back at me. "I've never heard of waterproof fabric."

"True."

I lied back and hugged Ace's hat. His hugs felt better, but it was just as warm... no it wasn't. I kicked my legs and nearly fell backwards. "Do you think I can go ahead?"

"Y/N, you know you can't do that."

I sharply inhaled through my nose and made an exaggerated sigh from my mouth. "But I can't even check on him! Not even from the water?"

"Y/N."

"Okay, fine!" I tapped at the edges of Ace's hat. "Hey, for the amount of times I've hummed in the front here, you never actually memorized the tune."

I stood up and made my way to my room, putting Ace's hat down on my stack of newspapers. I opened one of the newspapers and read my favourite article... it was the one about Ace, if you were wondering.

You can't even call me obsessed because the rest of them are about marine drama or something. It's boring.

I, personally, don't want to know about Aokiji's favourite coffee. Even if it says, "The ice king of the navy reveals his favourite boiling coffee?!", you can't make me even pretend to be interested.

I snuggled up to my two pillows and read the newspaper.

Spade Pirates Mess with Navy Battle

In the midst of a battle, a Navy ship is attacked by the Spade Pirates, led by Portgas D Ace, better known as Fire Fist Ace. With two ships burnt and sunken, the Navy had to retreat to face yet another sorry defeat from non other than the infamous Spade Pirates.

"This article is too short." I mumbled, folding the newspaper once more. I looked up at my room's ceiling and smiled. "Next adventure, you'll be on the front page."
