I went pale, seeing the fist of magma punching straight through my boyfriend. Straight through Ace.

Struggling to breath, I ran over as Akainu pulled his fist from Ace's stomach, falling into my arms. "Ace! Ace, look at me." I tilted up his chin, Luffy next to me with an equally horrified face.

"Ace, why? Why did—" I put my hand over my mouth, struggling to simply get a word out that wasn't in the form of a sob. "No, no, no, don't close your eyes." I put my hands on his cheeks, shaking him gently so his eyes wouldn't shut.

"Ivan-chan! D-Do something!" Luffy pleaded.

"Mugiwara Boy!" Ivankov yelled. "There's... nothing I can do..."

"N-No, there has to be something! Ace is going to be fine! You're going to be fine, Ace."

I saw a red bead from Ace's necklace roll to Oyaji's feet, him staring down at it in shock.

"...You two." Ace wrapped his arms around us, most likely using the last of his strength to pull us in. "Can you tell... everyone what I'm about to say?"

I wanted to say, "No, because you'll be able to tell them yourself." But I knew that was unrealistic. I'm a positive person, normally. But right now... what's to be positive about...?

"Oyaji, everybody, and you two... Thank you... for loving someone like me who is good for nothing... and who has such bad blood in his veins... up to today."

I put my hand on his back. When he'd say things like that, it's basically my job to comfort him, but I can't even form a sentence.

"You're probably mentally scolding me for saying that." Ace somewhat chuckled into my ear, tilting his head onto my shoulder. I felt his tears wetting my shoulder as he sobbed one last, "Thank you!" His body getting heavy and falling to the ground.

I stared at it in disbelief, the battle, the running, everything being tuned out. We came here to save Ace, so... what happened? Why am I seeing him dead on the ground?

I just stared at his still body, completely silent, motionless, barely breathing. I could hear the muffled cries of my crewmates, just barely. From the side of my eye, I could see Garp pinned down beneath Sengoku, tears spilling from his eyes.

Why can't I cry?

"You're next!" Akainu raised his magma fist, about to hit Luffy, before I caught his fist, it turning back to his crusty hand.

This is why I couldn't cry... I was furious.

The battle field fell silent other than Luffy's cries. Garp and Sengoku, one pinning the other down, both looked at me in shock. My crew fell dumbfounded. Jinbei and Ivankov went silent. The marines were too fearful to move or even make a peep.

A seventeen year old girl stopped an admirals magma fist with their bare hand. I guess that's a decent reason to be in shock.

Normally I'd back away. Normally, I'd be rushing to leave, knowing that I'm unable to fight.

Right now... I had nothing to lose.

"Insulting Oyaji is one thing... but now... you've crossed a line, Akainu."

From my glare, hundreds of marines fell to the ground, leaving the battle to simply be Akainu and I.

"Conqueror's Haki...?" Marco muttered, but I paid no mind at the time.

I made aqua flames go up Akainu's arm, making him move back just as I punch him square in the face, sending him flying across the battle field.

"Y/N, we need to—"

"No, Douma." Marco put his arm in front of our allied captain. "You know Y/N is a gentle soul. So when she's like that, there's only two ways to stop her... Her target dies or..." Marco paused for a moment, looking down at his fallen comrade. "Ace."

I could hear Marco. I knew I needed to stop. But it was like I lost control of my body. All I wanted to do was to kill Akainu. I wanted him to die. I've never killed anyone before, but I wanted to murder him to my heart's content. I wanted to see him lifeless on the ground, or even in the ocean.

I wanted him gone.

Punching him with Luffy's Devil Fruit, then keeping him down with Robins, then burning him with Marco's, then throwing him across the battle field with Oyaji's. Then...

"Hiken!" A Fire Fist was thrown at his face, surprising even me. "Ace's..." I looked back at Ace's lifeless body, seeing that he was still in the same position, not breathing. He couldn't be alive.

I was sent flying back, a burning sensation making my chest feel like it was about to melt off.

"Don't get too cocky!" Two vice admirals came at me, their swords raised.

I couldn't even tell what I was doing anymore. I took blind rage and made it literal, my vision blurry from the tears brimming my eyes and blocked from the marines surrounding me.

My skin was shallowly sliced before I pushed the vice admirals back and jumped to my feet to attack again.

"Y/N!" Marco tucked his arms under mine, clinging onto me tightly.

"NO! Let me go!!" I didn't even know why I was suddenly so violent. All I knew was that the marine admiral before me... I wanted him dead. I kicked aggressively, feeling Marco's shins on my heels.

"He needs to pay! HE NEEDS TO DIE!!"

A deep black pool flooded into my eyes as I struggled against Marco, almost beastly. "Y/N, calm yourself!" I looked down at Ace, not helping me qualm my intensified rage.

I looked up at Akainu, now seeing Oyaji's shadow loom over him as he stood behind him.

I suddenly went limp. Oyaji... Oyaji would kill him. That's what I believed. When I went to sleep, if ever, I'd sleep knowing that bastard was dead.

Their battle was more fierce than mine and Akainu's, at least from my perspective. The ground shook beneath my feet as Oyaji's fist made contact with the hard ground, Akainu just barely dodging.

Many fatal blows were made, almost none actually hitting the other.

Finally, Akainu was flung into a crack in Marineford's foundation, falling through, disappearing from sight.
