"Well, here we are." I mumbled. "I didn't quite imagine that I'd be coming here to fight a war."
"Sorry, Y/N. If we win then we can go sightseeing."
I have Nekomamushi a serious look, my arms crossed. "What do you mean, 'if?' That's no way to say the outcome of war. If you're stood in front of your soldiers, the last thing they want to hear is, 'If we win, I'll treat you.' You're supposed to be giving them confidence."
I walked passed him, my hands clasped behind my back. "We'll win. Then you can take me sightseeing like Ace promised." I said. Have you ever looked at someone who wasn't smiling, but you could tell that they're smiling inside.
I assume that's what I looked like.
"She's quite the firm one." Nekomamushi laughed a bit. "I wonder what it would've been like if I was still on the crew."
"Anyways, we have to meet up on the beach with the others." Izo said.
"We can fly, then. Marco, you take Nekomamushi-san, I'll take Izo."
I let darkness fill my sclera and I knelt in front of Izo. "Get on my back." Izo put his arms around my neck. "Are you sure that it's a good idea to be doing that?"
"Doing what?"
"You know, your eyes." I looked back at him, the darkness in my eyes fading. "It kind of aches afterwards, but it makes things easier. Do you not want me to do it?"
Marco flew up in the air, his talon holding onto Nekomamushi's shoulders. "Hey, just do it in battle. You don't always have to be so strong."
A soft smile formed at my lips. "Okay. Let's go."
While I followed Marco close behind to the meeting spot, my vision began to clear and he was a bit more than a bright blue flame. I rubbed my eyes and looked away from the bright light. "Are you okay?" Izo asked me.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine."
"Come on, hurry up!" Nekomamushi said. I giggled and pushed gently at Marco's back. "Yeah, hurry up, Marco."
"Oi, you're not the one who has to carry a giant cat."
I looked down and my eyes lit up. "Izo, is that them?" He looked over my shoulder and nodded. "Yep, that's them. We can land." I squinted and saw a girl that looked somewhat like Izo. "Izo, that's your sister?"
His eyes softened and he smiled. "Yeah, that's her."
"She's gorgeous..."
Just then, I saw Nekomamushi come plummeting down next to me and both Izo and I watched him go down for a few seconds. "MARCO, WHO ON EARTH TOLD YOU THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?!!"
He landed on his head, and although the snow beneath us seemed thick, I could hear a thud. "Ooh... wouldn't trade places with him." I slowly lowered down onto a branch and Izo jumped down, landing behind Nekomamushi.
Marco landed next to me with a tired sigh and the flames engulfing my arms ceased. "Marco, you brought him here?" Inuarashi asked.
He nodded. "Thankfully, I didn't have to carry two people thanks to this one, here." I hid behind his flaming wings, poking my head out to look at all the people there. My eyes were mainly fixated on the one I believed to be Izo's sister.
She had bright samurai armour and dark blue hair with big eyes. I heed my word by repeating that she was gorgeous.
"Wait, two?"
Izo jumped over Nekomamushi and landed with great elegance, as if he had practiced for this moment. The eyes of the Akazaya Nine lit up, "Izo!" Escaping their lips in excitement.
His sister's eyes went wide, watching Izo walk towards her for a few seconds. I assume she was reminiscing, recalling memories. I would too if I saw someone as close as an older brother after so long.
"Kiku..."
"Onii-san!" She called out, running towards him and into his embrace.
I let a warm smile creep up onto my face, shrinking behind Marco's wings. "Why are you hiding?"
"I-I don't know anyone here, so it just feels like I'm not supposed to be here. I'll just—"
"Guys, this is Y/N."
SCREW YOU, MARCO!! "Y/N...?" Inuarashi paused for a moment to think. "Ah, the one rumoured to copy powers?"
"Ehe... yep, that's me." I held onto Marco's shoulder, still somewhat hidden behind him.
Then, my eyes lit up, seeing Law walk up. "Don't go shrinking away like that. You look like you're about to cry."
"Tra-chan!" I stretched my arm and gripped into his shoulder, pulling myself towards him and hugging him with a grin.
"Ah, so she has already copied Luffy-dono's Devil Fruit." Kin'emon asked.
"Yeah, he's my brother... in law."
"In law?" The one that looks a bit like a Kappa asked. "Aren't you... a bit young to be married? I'm not sure, I'm not well versed in the area of love."
"No, no, I'm not married." I stood up straight with a smile. "I just fell in love with his brother. And speaking of which, I should get to Luffy now. See ya!" And with that, I spread my arms and flew off.
Izo looked up and smiled a bit.
"I didn't know Luffy-dono had a brother." Kin'emon said.
"Ace. She fell in love with Ace."
Everyone turned to Marco. "Didn't he die two years ago?" Kiku questioned, to which Law sighed and answered, "He did. He was killed by a marine admiral."
"She seems over it..." Kiku said.
"Nah. No one could get over something like that. She's just strong." Marco stood up. "Anyways, I saw something back there that I think I'll check out. See you!" And he flew off.
I lowered my hands from across my chest, disabling Robin's Devil Fruit power so I'd stop listening. I rolled the necklace Sabo gave me along my fingers. "Don't worry Sabo... after this, I'll come find you. You're not joining Ace just yet."
