Chapter Twenty-Three

*Third Pov.*

Back in the city of Vale, A Ironwood looking at the city from Beacon. As he stares into the distance Glynda walks up behind.

Glynda: Trouble sleeping?

Ironwood:*looks behind* Arm was acting up.

Glynda: Ah, of course. So logically you got out of bed dressed completely and decide to gaze menacing out in the distance...... What wrong?

Ironwood: I trusted him for years we both have..... I just..... can't help but feel like he's keeping us in the dark.  

Glynda: Don't be ridiculous. You know very well we are not the ones in the dark.

Ironwood: That makes it worst. I refuse to believe I trust so long would act so....... passively.

Glynda: You are a good person James. You've always done what you think is best for the people. Even against strong protest, it's admirable. But it's time to stop talking about trust and start showing it. Ozpin has the experience that the rest of us lack and I think that is something remembering.

There was silence between the two until Ironwood brought up something that interest her.

Ironwood: What about William.

Glynda: What about him.

Ironwood: He came from a world of war where it makes our war look like child play and my ships look toy. But Ozpin has been keep an eye on him really close.

Glynda: Well, of course, he's a brave warrior or Marine whatever he calls it. And he's not from our world-

Ironwood: No, what I mean...... What I mean is that he talks about William like he knew him, not months or a year, but years. It's like he knew as an old friend.

 Glynda couldn't argue with the general. She did find it strange that he let a stranger that has more experience than any of the students in the school including herself. But she can't argue with the headmaster. Though it never left her mind.

*Timeskip*

  Back with team Rwby. The fire was dying down ruby is sleeping but was waken up by Zwei.

Ruby: Zwei it's late go back to bed.

As she yawn her dog ran out and whisper for him but he didn't come back. She looks among her teammates who are still sleeping except Yang who's on watch. Didn't want to wake she grabs her scythe and runs after her dog.

Ruby: Zwei, where are you. Zwei!

She looks for her dog and spots him doing his business.

Ruby: Zwei, this is a wast land you could have done that anywhere.

Zwei: Bark.

???: What was that?

Ruby crouches down as she slowly moves to a pillar, but she was pulled behind cover ruby was about to confront the person but covers her mouth.

???: Ruby, be quiet.

Ruby look at the person and see it was William.

William: You got to calm down or you'll alert them.*lets go of her*

Ruby:*weispers* William! Don't do that you scare me. What are you doing out here anyway?

William: Sorry ruby. I was patrolling the area when I heard voices. You?

Ruby: Zwei.

William: Okay then. Let's check out our mysterious voices.

Both of them look out and see White Fang grunts.
