Chapter Thirty-Two

*Third pov*

After the match, William met up with his team, who congratulated him on his win. Though Yang and Ruby are with Uncle in their dorm. Weiss was with her sister. It was just Blake and William walking through crowds in the festival, wasting time before Yang and Weiss's match.

Blake: That was an interesting match.

William: It was stupid. Those so-called best soldiers 

Observing the market and seeing the people having fun and enjoying themselves makes him happy that there's peace for now, even though there's a large threat, but for now, enjoy the peace. There is also something on his mind; it's been on his mind since the second semester.... Blake develops a crush, and soon it turns to love. He didn't want it due to his previous relationship, but he couldn't help it. Every time he draws away, she brings him back to her, and now he wants to ask her the question, but he wants to give a hint before asking it.

Blake, the mystery girl who keeps to herself, calm, cool, and levelheaded, but at this moment... she... a NERVEWEARK. She had romantic love with the man Adam, but this was different; she had never been this nervous ever. She liked, no, loved the man walking with her. He was handsome, brave, and had a way with words. She gets lost in his blue eyes, loves reading books, and he likes cats. As she looks around, she sees couples: humans, Faunus, and human and Faunus. Which makes her blush, thinking about how it's just like a book.

William: Blake?

Making her jump.

Blake: Yes, William.

William: Are you okay? You seem out of it.

Blake: Yes, just thinking.

William: Thinking about the whole event weeks ago.

Blake: Yes, it seems that there's more to it than meets the eye.

William: I know. It's a game of chess; we defeat a pawn. But you replace a pawn with a queen, knight, rook, and bishop; they have their own roles. 

Blake: Which piece is in play now?

William: The Queen.

Blake: Queen?

William: Yes, the Queen is smart, cunning, and knows how to make moves. Although she is pulling the strings, she is taking orders from the one who is smarter and in the shadows.

Blake: Who?

William: The KING.

It is alarming to Blake that the White Fang and Torchwick are just pawns in a game, but knowing that they're taking commands from a queen and she's taking commands from a king who's in the shadows, this isn't some terrorist attack or thieves; this is something different, something bigger than them, and they're in the middle of the battleground.

They walk towards a tree that has a view of Vale and an amazing sunset; it looks more romantic. They stop to look out at the view, amazed by the view. 

Blake: It's beautiful. 

The former marine glances at Blake and agrees about the beauty but not at the view.

William: Yes, beautiful.

They look at the view, enjoying the view and each other.

William: Blake, uh... I... I-I have something for you.

He grabs something, and it is a smooth, small wooden box, and hands it to her; she gladly accepts it. Opening it, it was her symbol but in a neon color besides black, her second favorite color.
