Always and Forever

Chapter 19

After Josie gets back to the school she looks at the clock and gasps. It's almost going to be 6 in the morning, she didn't expect to get home so late. She walks into the kitchen hoping that no one is there.

But instead she sees Hope sitting on one of the stools poking at her fruit, resting her chin on her hand.

"Hope?" Josie takes off her coat and lays it on a stool. Hope lifts her head up at her name being called. She smiles tiredly "Hey Jo. You're back." She says then continues to poke at her fruit.

"What are you doing up this early?" Josie asks going into the fridge and taking a box of strawberries out. She then grabs a bowl with a chocolate bottle "I went on a run and just came to eat some fruit." She says taking a grape and throwing it into her mouth.

Josie then washes her strawberries and puts them in the bowl, she rips off the leaves and throws them away then she drizzles the chocolate all over them.

She sits on one of the stools in front of Hope.

She places the bowl in between them "Here." Josie says biting into a strawberry, Hope smiles and pushes her fruit bowl away, she grabs a strawberry and bites into it and smiles even wider.

Josie knew Hope never liked to eat any fruits. Josie knew that Hopes favorite were chocolate covered strawberries. After a while of eating strawberries Hope decided it was time to go back to her room with Landon.

They parted ways and Josie made her way to her room, on her way she had hoped Lizzie would still be sleeping.

She opened her door quietly and looked into the room. Thankfully Lizzie was still asleep, she was spread out on the bed with her head hanging off and drool dripping out of her mouth.

Josie slowly walks in, checking every step she takes so that Lizzie doesn't wake up. She looks up making sure Lizzie is still sleeping then she accidentally steps on a bag of chips.

It makes a loud crunch noise and Lizzie shoots up from the bed and siphons some magic from the school walls and mutters a spell then Josie gets blasted onto the wall and falls to the floor.

"Ah Lizzie! Dude really!" She says lifting herself up, rubbing her head.

"Oh shit sorry Jo." Lizzie says getting up and  helping Josie sit on the bed. "Why did you do that?"

Lizzie sighs "I-I thought you were him." She says pinching the bridge of her nose. Josie makes a confused face "Who's him?"

Lizzie sits down next to Josie "I couldn't sleep all night, so i was closing my eyes to see if i could finally sleep but then i heard noises from the window."

"And i thought it was you so i acted like i was sleeping."

"Then i realized it wasn't. It was some guy, he was looking through your things. I still acted like i was sleeping because i didn't want something bad to happen."

"Then he just left. I don't know if he took anything, so i didn't sleep all night and when i heard you walk in i though he was back again, that's why i blasted you with my spell." Lizzie explains

Josie sighs "Well are you okay?" Lizzie nods "Yeah i just wonder who that guy was."

"Yeah me too." Josie says sighing, they both lay on their backs and lizzie lays her head on josies shoulder, they both close their eyes and fall asleep.

After a couple hours later the girls wake up, Lizzie looks at her phone then quickly gets up and runs to the bathroom to fix her hair.

"Whats the rush?" Josie questions "Mg is coming over, he wants us to hang out with him and Pedro, plus I want to look good for my man." Lizzie says with a smug look. Josie sighs then Mg knocks on their door.

Lizzie runs to the door and opens it, revealing Mg and Pedro.

Meanwhile Landon plays with Hopes hair as they are laying down on a blanket near the docks.

"I enjoyed this picnic." Hope says looking up and smiling at Landon, they share a kiss but it gets interrupted once they hear a twig snap. They both get up and look around making sure no one is there.

"Hello?" Hope says, Landon quickly goes behind Hope once he hears another twig snap, "Who is there?!" Hope yells out.

"Hope!" Landon yells out when he sees a big tree log get thrown towards her. Landon quickly grabs her and pushes her out of the way, she falls and screams when the edge of the log hits her leg. Then a big black shadow monster crawls out of the trees, it stands up and slowly walks towards them, it was very tall, instead of 2 arms it had 4 very long arms.

Its claws were so sharp that they looked like knives.

Hope struggles to stand up and she mutters a spell that makes the shadow monster get thrown against a tree.

"What the hell is that!" Hope hears, she turns around and sees Lizzie, Josie and Mg.

They all rush towards Hope to see if shes okay. Mg and Lizzie help her stand up, Josie walks towards Landon looking to see if he has any injuries "You okay?" She says and Landon nods, she looks at Mg and Lizzie "How do we kill it?" said Josie.

"Its made of magic right?" Landon says while the monster stands up and growls. Josie nods "Josies a siphon witch, all we have to do is get her close enough to the monster so that she can siphon the magic out until its dead."

Josie looks at Lizzie and Mg, they nod "Okay lets do this. Hope you just stay down okay?" Josie says to Hope. Lizzie puts her hand on Mg's shoulder and siphons magic from Mg and she says a spell and it makes the monster freeze in place. "Josie go!" she yells out, she keeps siphoning from Mg to keep the spell intact.

Landon just stands next to Hope making sure nothing happens to her.

Josie runs towards the monster, she puts her hands on its arms and starts siphoning. She whimpers when she feels all the magic courses through her veins. She keeps siphoning, the more she siphons the more it hurts.

"Jo how much more magic do you need to siphon?!" Mg says feeling drained by the minute.

"I don't know! The more magic I siphon the more it hurts!" Josie says whimpering, Lizzie eyes widen when she hears Josie whimpering.

"Jo you need to stop we can find another way!" Lizzie yells

"No Liz its almost done I can feel it!" Josie says taking deep breaths, the monster begins to screech then it slowly starts to disappear.

Once the monster disappears Josie sighs, she feels something drip from her nose, she touches it and sees blood on her hand.

Then she falls to the ground.
