Chapter 33

Josies pov

i look at the empty plate where my turkey was.

"well someone was hungry." kai says chuckling, he grabs a cup and fills it up with water and he walks back and sits down on the chair in front of me and hands me the water

"why did u take me?" i ask, he looks at me furrowing his eyebrows  acting confused

"what do u mean?"

"well u grabbed me, and u said u have plans for me, for us. so what is it and why?" i question him, i put the glass cup to my water and i start drinking it

i was so thirsty and i didn't even realize it.

he chuckles and looks at me with a smirk, he looks down and then his eyes dart to me "well answer this. what's in the sandclock?" the second he says that my body freezes.

was he watching us the whole time?

"um i don't what ur talking about?" i act dumb

he looks me dead in the eye "oh josette im not dumb. i heard u girls talking about it and saw u holding it. so what's so important about the sandclock  that you guys had to leave it here"

"it's none of ur business kai" i tell him, he rolls his eyes  and chuckles "fine then i'll find out myself"

"why did we come here?" i ask, he walks next to me and grabs my arm and lifts me up

"or what did you just take me just so we can come here and u could be finally be a good uncle and make me a turkey?" i say sarcastically

he laughs and looks me in the eyes " well i was originally going to kill you. and get my revenge on your father"

"but i've been alone for so long now that i've been needing a partner in crime once i get out" he says smiling

where is he going with this

"so what's more better than turning you into a monster, like me" he says smiling and then he laughs

"no!" i say trying to get out of his grip but he's too strong

i can't be like him. there's no way i would.

"your almost like me, i'm just going to make sure your worse" kai laughs "plus its gonna be so fun having a partner" he says smirking

i have to get out of here

"youre crazy!" i say then i kick him in his leg and grap the plate on the table and smash on his head

i get out of his grip and push him away then i make a run for it towards the door while he lays on the floor groaning

once i get to the door i feel a gust of wind then he's right in front of me and his eyes glow a dark red with dark veins forming under his eyebags
" not so fast" he smirks

he grabs me and growls then plunges his teeth onto my neck and everything goes black.

Hopes pov

"i can't believe josie's gone." Mg says as he and the super squad are in lizzie and josie's room. "i cant believe josie's gone" Mg says

"she's not gone she's just lost Mg" lizzie snaps at him he goes quiet and looks down not saying anything after that.  it's officially been 3 weeks since josie was taken and so far we have nothing.

absolutely nothing.

we've tried to find out who tampered with the ascendant but no one knows anything. we don't even know if josie's still alive. alaric has been going to his office constantly drinking and trying to find out how to get his daughter back
