It's been a few days. Cassia hasn't responded to my texts -or more accurately, my text. It just said "hi", to be fair. I have seen her in class with her best friends of course. The same friends that she blew me off for. I expected her to run after me, she always ran after me. She was always apologizing, with Cassia, nothing was my fault. I like that about her, it makes our relationship a hell of a lot easier.

But she didn't contact me. She didn't talk to me at school. She didn't apologize. She stayed with her stupid friends. I guess Garrett is subconsciously occupying her schedule. He's probably raving about Max. Speaking of Max Peterson, he's the true person who is keeping her from me. And he knows it. He knows that she would devote all her attention to him and he is using it to piss me off. Or maybe he is just doing it because he's her friend. But it is pissing me off nevertheless.

I watch her in history class. She sits right in front of me and we are almost always partners. But when our teacher asks us to pair up Max shoots me a death glare and pulls her aside. Of course, she is laughing the entire time -more annoyed but smiling. It seems that he was always touching her, or talking to her. Playing with her hair. Holding her hand. They are always together, well, when I'm not there. And yes, they are friends, but I think they're a little in everyone's face. Or maybe they're just in my face.

Oh shit.

Fuck.

Does Max like Cassia?

My brain is racing. Thank god that our teacher is giving us time to work on our group projects -a group project that I was supposed to be partnered with Cassia. I watch Max fix a stray hair that fell out of her clip. He whispers in her ear, probably some flirty nonsense. But she falls for it. She laughs, she hits him, she teases him just like he teases her.

She falls for his tricks.

How fucking long until she falls for him?

I am so angry as I exit that class. So angry because my girlfriend's best friend is in love with her. So angry because I need to make sure that she never falls in love with him. So angry because I need to win her back. And with one look at one person, anger turns to ambition. Because a plan is formed.

I walk quickly to her. Her strawberry blonde hair is twirled in her hand, the rest, falling aimlessly over one shoulder. She has heart-shaped eyeglasses, propped up. She's wearing skinny jeans and a tucked-in tank top (when she's not in class dealing with the dumb dress code). She has a pink flannel tied around her waist. "Gia," I lean over her, smiling evilly. I can feel Cassia looking at me. "Wanna get back together?"
