Goodbye
Months have passed, we are now currently enrolling for the next school year. Grabe, parang noon kakatapak ko lang sa college tapos ngayon, just two more years at gagraduate na ako.
"There she is! Goodness!"
"Come on, ba't ka ba nalate? Ang daming tao eh." Sabi ni Therese sa kanya.
"I didn't pass.."
Napatigil kaming lahat at sabay na lumingon sa kanya. What the hell? For real?
"It's true. I didn't pass." Nilahad niya samin yung envelope kaya kinuha ko iyon at binuksan and she's right. She didn't pass.
"What the hell? Sinadya mo no?" Tanong ni Therese
"I heard you talking to Clark, noong kumuha tayo ng exams. Nagdadalawang isip ka kung kukuha ka. You want to shift into business. Pero hindi ka pinapayagan ng parents mo kaya you used this as a reason." Dagdag pa niya.
Hindi naman nakasagot si Kate. I guess it's true. Talagang sinadya niyang magpabagsak.
All those sleepless nights, sabay sabay nating iniyakan to.
"I didn't want this course from the start. Alam niyo yon, napilitan lang ako. I want to be a business woman. Ayoko dito. If I need to start from the bottom again, I'll do it, if it is for my dream. Oo, yung parents ko ang nagpapaaral sakin, but it's my life, I want to enjoy what I'm doing hindi lang dahil sa utos ng parents ko."
I bit my lip, we have the same case. It's just that, I cannot contravene with my mom's order. Kung anong gusto niya, kailangan kong sundin. I can't turn against her, hindi ko kaya.
"Then what will happen now? Hindi ka na makakapag enroll." Sabi ni Thea sa kanya.
"I'll shift into business. Sa ibang school na." Ngumiti siya samin at niyakap kami isa isa.
"Cheer up, guys.
"Kaya niyo to. Don't give up, okay? I'm sorry kung iiwan ko kayo dito. But I'll be right here if you need someone to lean on. Kung may problema kayo sa studies I can still help you."
Naiiyak ako at the same time natutuwa. She finally have the courage to reach her dream, which I think I can never.
