3rd Person's POV

Sunday morning felt so plain for Gabbie. After what happened yesterday with her cupcakes, she lost her mood to stay out of her room. Every time the incident crosses her mind, she can't help but curse internally and strangle herself with pillows.

It was embarrassing.

How did she even think of giving that devil a gift when she knew too well how cold and cruel he is? She might have been carried away with the taste of glee when her brother was saved. Xander did not do it to help for sure, he just wanted to flex his power and control over everyone. He just wanted to show his atrocity and inhumanity.

Suddenly, a knock stole her deep thoughts and without sparing seconds, she responded, opening the door for the intruder. And the intruder was a literal intruder for this is the first time he had ever stepped on this doorway.

Gabbie scanned him while her mouth agape. Is she seeing a real Alexander on her door just now?

"You're seeing real," he grinned at the sight of Gabbie still wearing her nighty while hair messy and face completely busted-a crummy morning look.

"W-Why are you here? But wait.." she then realized how terrible her demeanor is right now and lurched to shut the door immediately. She was lost in space for a second before her senses returned and that's when she flew to the bathroom to clean herself. Continuous knocks made her lose more nerve as she panicked while dressing up.

"Hey, be quick and open this door!" a muffled sound from outside that totally irked her day. After three minutes, she opened the door again, now facing the man with a more presentable facade.

"Why bother cleaning yourself when I already saw how gross you looked," he teased and leaned on the door jamb while arms crossed. Gabbie rolled her eyes but looked away quite embarrassed.

Just how many times would I get myself embarrassed in front of him?

"Get yourself ready, we're leaving in an hour," he announced that made Gabbie turn her head at him again. Her eyes are filled with questions but Xander didn't bother expanding anymore. "The maids cooked you breakfast. Go down and eat. Let's meet in the living room after an hour. I repeat, one hour. If you're not done in that span, I'm leaving you," he instructed and left.

Gabbie was bossed around again and it's not even new. She has been expecting her life to be this obedient and slowly, she's accepting her fate. There is no turning back, that's the cruelest veracity.

She went down and dined in the kitchen being served with multiple maids. She ate a typical breakfast meal before she went back upstairs to take a cold bath and then dress casually.

She wore a blue above-the-knee dress matched with a white tiny sling bag and white two-inch sandals. She let down her hair which is shoulder length and finally went downstairs particularly in the living room where Xander has been waiting for five minutes now. It took exactly 50 minutes for Gabbie to get ready and though Xander waited long, because five minutes is an eternity for Xander to wait, he can't leave her coz an hour has not passed yet.

"I thought you tailored your dress yourself for how long I've waited."

"I'm not late," Gabbie retorted and Xander could not argue to that. He just led the way outside the house where his Mercedes-Benz is parked. Gabbie just follows without any idea where the destination will be.

The drive was so silent. The girl chose it that way coz she doesn't know what to talk about either. Thankfully, the man kept his mouth closed too because Gabbie swore every time they converse, she gets mocked or offended.
