3rd Person's POV

The police captured Xander's father without him resisting. But the way he looked at his son speaks a lot—disappointment, rage, and grief. Xander didn't bat an eyelash since he expected it that way though he cannot face him directly. After all, he is his father.

The police all went out meeting the enthralled press. The reporters and other scoop-diggers were just too many that the path was almost blinding due to nonstop flashes of cameras.

Xander and Jameson were the only ones left inside the room and they are still looking at each other. Until Xander walked near him, "You happy now?" he gritted his teeth.

"You think I am? I never told you to do that for me. I should be the one to capture that darn man! Why did you block my way? Why?!"

"I didn't do that for you. I did it for myself coz I am a victim, too. Yet, unlike you, I didn't use anyone else to claim the justice I want because if appeasing my pain would result in the pain of others, ain't I the same darn man, then?"

"I needed the evidence and being near you would lead me to my evidence."

"Your evidence was not enough. Even if you called the police after feeding the people some voice recording during that program, it will not get you a warrant." Jameson now ridged his brows due to utter incredulity. "You need a witness, Jameson. So later, don't dare to deceive the world that you managed to bring down the Evans because you didn't, you could never. Let me show you how a true man handles a hurdle," he emphasized without intending any meaning but it still sounded offensive to Jameson that even after Xander went out of the room, he is still holding his fists of anger.

Xander dodged the remaining reporters on the scene. He fled the area to go handle another one. While in the car, he received a call.

"Yes?" that's he.

"I'm turning in."

Xander turned silent for a while. "I don't want to thank you because of what you've done in the past. But still, thank you, Brandon."

"I want to accept that but my conscience just can't. I have to serve my punishment first before I'll be able to swallow some thanks from you."

"How about Gwyneth?"

"I really can't face her, Sir Xander. Please just give her my sincerest apology letter. Please, Sir Xander."

"I understand, Brandon."

Brandon was the one who gave the man the shreds of evidence that could prove his father's evilness. He gave proof to show beyond doubt that Alejandro has formed a child organ trafficking in the mask of an orphanage, he engaged in illegal business such as drugs, and he killed his brother and wife. Brandon testified to the police just this morning after giving Xander a call and turned himself in. That was also the reason why Xander was late for the program.

The man now arrived at Clyde's family mansion and was saluted by the guards on the outside. All these people surrounding Clyde's house are his people that he sent this morning to make sure Clyde will not go to the program to destroy his plans. He went in and saw the man sitting unsettled on one of his sofas. He saw Xander.

"You son of a bitch! What have you done?! Why did you lock me here?" he rants upon seeing the man.

"I had to stop you so it wouldn't get more complicated."

"Huh! You only stopped me from destroying your family! You know I have something that will certainly bring down you and your father," he spat in his face.

"Jameson already planned what you imagined to do but he failed."

"Because of you, because you're a son of a bitch!"
