3rd Person's POVGabbie reached the bar where Clyde enjoined her to come. It was so early in the morning and so the bar was still closed at that time. However, she was instantly ushered the moment she went down her car after parking outside.
This was the presentation she was talking about to Xander. If meeting her husband's foe would count as one then it is. It was Clyde's message that says he got good evidence to prove that her father was killed by Mr. Alejandro that she rushed her way to him, lying to her husband.
She arrived at a closed room and saw Clyde already sitting and waiting there for her. "You're here, sit," he extended his hand pointing to the red hard couch but Gabbie refused.
"What evidence are you talking about?"
Clyde then stood up and came near her. "Give me your phone," he said and Gabbie looked at him, trying to confirm his intentions in his eyes. Clyde opened his palm and waited for the girl to comply and so she did.
But instead of giving a file or maybe transferring anything to it like what Gabbie expected, Clyde shut it down in lieu.
"What are you doing?" she asked and tried to take her phone back but Clyde retracted.
"I called you here for something else." The girl's forehead wrinkled with that passage. "I'm sorry, Ms. Gabbie but I'm gonna use you again for a plan."
"What plan are you talking about? At least let me know."
"I'm gonna steal the SD card from Xander."
"The SD card is not in Xander's care," she protested but Clyde gainsaid.
"It is, Jameson stole it and gave it to him. I need that one. Whatever happens, I should steal it from him again. That recording holds the only strong evidence that would prove his father's crime."
"Then what are you using me for?"
"I need you to stay here. I will also bring your phone with me."
"What?"
"Please help me this once, Ms. Gabbie. I know you have helped me a lot of times but this is really really important," Clyde beseeched.
"Are you using me as a trap?"
"Yes," he straight answered and was about to step out when Gabbie held him still.
"Don't...hurt him," she requested but with a look that was commanding.
Clyde saw how determined her eyes are so he had no choice but to nod. "For as long as I got the file," he noted and then dashed outside with Gabbie's phone in his hands.
Gabbie was locked there in that four corners as she walked back and forth, weak-kneed. She doesn't know the actual plan but she is not feeling secure. Am I still doing the right thing?
Xander's POV
I recovered from the torment after almost an hour of endurance. I fared to stand up to scheme for my next move but all was ceased when I received a text message.
"I have your wife. Come to the address I will send you. Don't bring anyone and any weapon, or else your wife will die."
Shit!
The message is from an unknown sender and it was even followed speedily with the address it was talking about. I hoped to dredge up it that it was fake as I called Gabbie immediately but she cannot be reached. I dialed countless times but still unattended. This message can't be true. It might just be a trap but my wife isn't answering and that is making me go wild and wobbly. I have just survived a blow and here comes another one.
