It was five in the morning. Sunrise was about to come. The defeated manananggal army now has to retreat and return to their lower halves, else they die from the bright sunlight.

However, as they were about to leave the town plaza, they witnessed the weakened Don Salvador weeping over Doña Ariana's lifeless body, killed by Lorena's bolo.

"I promise, my love," cried Don Salvador to his dead wife, "we will rise back again."

Don Salvador asked his minions to help them get back home. The couple was carried back to safety to the now ruined Hacienda Del Fierro.

As Don Salvador returned to his lower half, he returned to his human form. Seeing the lower half of his wife's body, he tried to reconnect both halves in an attempt to revive Doña Ariana. But to no avail, he could not put them back together, as the upper half was already lifeless. 

As the sun peeked through the garden, Don Salvador screamed in suffering and anguish, as he witnessed his wife burn away to ashes in the sunlight. 

His cohorts tried to comfort him, but he refused. He asked them to gather his wife's ashes and place them in an urn.

At their ruined home, Don Salvador's mourning turned into fury, as he found his child gone in the crib. Because of blood marks on the crib's blanket, he thought Cristobal and Lorena had killed his heir.

"I promise, Ariana my love, that I will seek revenge against the faith healers. I shall find them, and I will destroy them. Then I will rule again as the king of the supernatural creatures!", declared Don Salvador.

Don Salvador and his remaining minions left San Roque, and migrated to the city of Maharlika, where he married a rich female mangkukulam named Sylvia Ortega, and had another child, which he named Alice. He established a new company, the Del Fierro Group, and became one of the most sought-after corporations in the country.
