In a Dream

Dr. Earl Komar and Tabby Changco heard the commotion from the clinic, and ran quickly into the worship hall.

Dr. Earl then witnessed a glorious sight. He saw streaks of light filling the worship hall that seemed to envelop the whole congregation. He also saw black streams of smoke coming out of Miguel.

"Tabby, this is what I saw from Miguel when I casted the demonic entity out," Dr. Earl said.

"What do you see? I see nothing; just people praying over Miguel," Tabby asked.

"The power of the Almighty God is in this place. Light winning over the darkness," Dr. Earl said.

"Praise the Lord! Thank you, Jesus, for saving Miguel," Tabby praised in tears of joy.

The congregation witnessed Miguel's demonic manifestation when he attacked Pastor Kevin, which they successfully overcome. Pastor Kevin was able to rest on the church pew, still surprised and dumbfounded, yet was able to stand up again to calm down the churchgoers that day.

"Church, that is the power of God!," Pastor Kevin announced, "Through Him, we are able to cast out demons and restore those afflicted back to life." Then, he asked the church congregation to gather together and say a prayer for Miguel.

Miguel, still unconscious, was moved away from the crowds and was put on a couch in the church's administration office. While he was asleep, he had a dream. He stood alone in a bright white room, and then a multitude of persons dressed in white approached him. One of them said to Miguel, "You are safe with our Heavenly Father; do not be afraid." The white-clad people held him and took him to a golden door.  As the door opened, Miguel gazed in awe as he saw a beautiful valley surrounded by fruit trees, green grass, colorful flowers, and healthy animals. He was overwhelmed with joy with the wonders of that place. Out of curiosity, he asked the white-clad people, "Who are you, anyway?" One of them responded, "We are the Lord's angels, whom He has sent through the power of prayer. We are here to protect you from the forces of the enemy. Now, child, your time here has not yet come. You must come back, as you have to engage in a fight that our Father has asked you to do." Miguel agreed.

Meanwhile, in another mysterious place, Alexander could not get out, as he was bound by strange glowing ropes that wrapped around his body. Out of anger, he shouted, "MIGUEL! WHOEVER IS THIS JESUS MAN, HE SHOULD COME HERE TO HELP ME! SEND HIM TO SET ME FREE SO I WILL COME BACK TO YOU! MAKE THIS STOP! STOP!" 

But suddenly, images of his visit to Unit 2120 flashed in front of him, making him realize that he did a prayer that would change his life forever. 

Alexander slowly gained composure, and he said to the man named Jesus:

"Whoever you are, Jesus, please tell me who I really am! For many years, I have murdered people. I have terrorized and destroyed hundreds of lives. But why at the moments people will attempt to kill me, the sun will rise up, making me retreat to my lower half? Why did you let this happen? I am a manananggal! I am a murderer! I am a monster! I don't deserve to live! But why did you let me live?! Please help me, Jesus! Help me!"

Alone, Alexander sobbed in despair.

Then, Miguel woke up from his sleep.

As he opened his eyes, Miguel saw the desk of Pastor Kevin. He then looked at his hands and his body. He wondered why there was no trace of blood or any form of carnage on his body resulting from his transformation into a manananggal. He then sat on the couch pondering on what just happened that day.
