Unit 2120

Tabitha drove her car with Miguel, who was actually Alexander, towards the Orange Fields Condominium. She was so giddy to introduce her boyfriend to her parents.

"You will love my mom and dad, and you will also love my siblings too!", said Tabby.

"Who are your mom and dad?", asked Alexander.

"Well, they are professors of Reino Felipe II University. Daddy Eli teaches philosophy, while Mommy Miriam teaches literature. They met at the university when they were in college, and got married soon after graduation. I am their eldest child, by the way," she said.

"And how about your siblings? Your brother does practice law, right?", asked Alexander.

Tabby replied, "Well, my brother Bart is still waiting for his bar exam results. If he does pass, we will push through with our law firm business. Meanwhile, my youngest sister Liza is finishing her STEM track in senior high, and she's pursuing chemistry. How cool is that?"

"That's nice, babe," said Alexander.

"Well, how about your family, Miguel? How are they?", asked Tabby.

Alexander didn't have a clue about Miguel's family, but he did know about San Roque as Alice told him.

"Well, they're still in San Roque, tending to our farm.", he said.

"That's it?", asked Tabby, growing suspicious about the man she thought was Miguel, "any other info about them now?"

Alexander reached for Miguel's phone, checking through text messages from Miguel's family.

"Come to our town fiesta next month! Bring over your girlfriend as well!", said the latest message from Miguel's father Cristobal.

"Uh... they're inviting us to the town fiesta next month. Are you coming over?", asked Alexander.

"Yeah! I would love to visit your village, Mike!", Tabby answered, "I heard your community's nice too!"

Alexander smiled, as they were about to approach Tabby's condo.

"Here we are, unit 2120!", said Tabby as she opened the door to their condo unit.

Alexander was amazed by the grandiose look of the condo unit, with a mix of oriental and modern interior design. He stood still in amazement.

"Mike, babe," Tabby said, "why are you looking so amazed? You know you've been here a couple of times. We've been here for board game nights and movie dates, though my parents weren't around then. You know they're busy teachers."

"Uh, sorry, babe, I'm always amazed by how your home looks. It's cozy, it's warm, it's like love is in this place," said Alexander.

"See? When you're with family, and you do everything with love, the atmosphere in your home fills with love as well," tells Tabby.

Tabby approaches his father Elijah, "Dad, I want to introduce you to my boyfriend, Miguel Mangubat. He's my colleague at Del Fierro."

Daddy Elijah was excited to see Tabby's boyfriend. "Welcome, my Miguel!", he said, hugging whom he thought was Miguel, "you're always at home! Why don't you take a seat in our living room? We're starting our small group study in a while. Miriam's preparing dinner tonight."

As Alexander took a seat in the living room, he saw familiar faces: Tommy Lao and Vincent Stevenson, together with Eli's fellow teachers at the University. He also wondered what are the books they are handling? Their covers read Holy Bible.

As Eli started the small group with a prayer, Alexander did not pay attention, and instead looked at Tabby in the kitchen with his mother Miriam. His eyes glowed red with a desire to capture her. He was interrupted when Eli and the others said "Amen."

After the opening prayer, he asked each participant to introduce themselves one by one. When it was Miguel's, or rather Alexander's, turn, he was quite reluctant, but he did introduce himself anyway, pretending to be Miguel. 

"I'm Miguel Mangubat, general manager of the New Developments Department at the Del Fierro Group. You may know me as the one dating Sir Eli's daughter Tabby. I know it's great to be with you tonight with great men, but I am really curious about what I can learn here," Alexander said.

"Miguel, tonight, you will learn something that could change your life for good. I assure you that," told Eli.

Then Eli proceeded to share a Bible story that night. He turned to Mark chapter 5 verses 1 to 20, the Healing of the Demoniac in the country of the Gerasenes.

When Alexander heard the verses of how the entity named Legion begged Jesus Christ not to torment them and asked to be sent to the pigs, he was moved emotionally. He wondered why a being like him became a detriment to Miguel, the man he has possessed.

Moreover, Alexander then knew of how the former demoniac became normal again, from being naked to being clothed, from being in his own superhuman strength to having strength that came from the Lord Jesus Christ, being bold to tell his fellow citizens in the Ten Towns about what He has done for him. Without even realizing it, tears rolled in Alexander's eyes.

 "Miguel, my boy," said Eli, "would you like to receive the Lord?"

Alexander, still in tears, turned to him, and said, "Yes. I would like to receive."
