Confronting the Monster

Alexander was determined to capture Tabitha and harm her family. Being empowered by his stepmother's spell, he was able to take over Miguel's body even during a new moon when there is no moonlight to be seen. There in his manananggal form, he was now flying towards the direction of the Orange Fields Condominium, where the Changco family lives. While he still remembers that previous encounter when he could not advance because of the bright force of light, now he is determined to get through it no matter what it takes.

Since it was a new moon, Alexander did not cast a shadow in the metropolis, and was able to fly through the condominium without a trace. However, as he approached the 21st floor of the building, someone blocked his way. It was the soul of his arch-rival Miguel, assisted by two angels. 

"Well, Miguel, I didn't know you learned how to fly. Now, out of my way, bastard!", told Alexander.

Miguel's soul replied, "Alexander, I'm not gonna fight you. But I just want you to know that you can't have Tabitha and her family with you, NEVER! I have learned now how to cover and be covered by the Lord's angels. Now, in the Lord's Name, I command you to leave and stay where you belong!"

But Alexander didn't listen, he went forward and tried to slash Miguel's soul with his claws. Immediately the two angels blocked Alexander's attack with their shields, which hurt him. 

An angel told him, "Alexander, remember you are now redeemed by God. Why are you still filled with anger? Why are you running away from Him?"

Alexander began to remember how he did the Sinner's Prayer, that moment he was able to be transformed to another being, but to no avail.

In remorse, he started to become emotional, grunting that he couldn't capture Miguel's girlfriend. Again, he started to shake and twitch, his skin shifting color, his appearance shifting from his ugly self to one likened to Miguel.

He flew back to Miguel's apartment, defeated again by a more powerful force. As he returned to his lower body, his body transformed back to Miguel.

Miguel woke up, and saw bloodstains on his bed again. Yet, to his surprise it was a new moon. He thought, "How could it be? Is my curse getting stronger?"
