As the moon shone down on San Roque, casting long shadows across the town square, the air grew tense with anticipation. The townsfolk, armed and ready, stood united with Don Salvador, Sylvia, and Miguel Mangubat. They had prepared for this moment, steeling themselves for the final confrontation

A sudden, chilling silence fell over the square as Alice del Fierro emerged from the darkness, her presence commanding and filled with malevolent power. Her eyes glowed with a fierce intensity, and her expression was a mask of fury. She had sensed the shifting allegiances and now faced the united front of her family and the townsfolk.

Alice's voice rang out, cold and venomous, as she surveyed the scene. "So, this is how it is," she hissed, her gaze locking onto Salvador and Sylvia. "You have all betrayed me, siding with this... this traitor!" She pointed a clawed finger at Miguel, her eyes blazing with rage.

Salvador, standing protectively beside Sylvia, tried to reach out to his daughter. "Alice, please," he implored, his voice filled with regret and desperation. "This doesn't have to end in violence. We can find another way."

But Alice's fury only grew. "Another way?" she spat, her voice rising. "You think you can turn your back on me and expect forgiveness? You, who lied and abandoned us for this human filth?"

Sylvia stepped forward, her face a mix of sorrow and determination. "Alice, listen to your father. We were wrong, but there's still time to make things right. Let's end this together."

Alice's eyes narrowed as she glared at her mother. "Enough!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the square. "If you won't stand with me, then you are my enemy!"

In a sudden, violent motion, Alice began to chant an ancient incantation, her voice reverberating with a dark energy that sent chills down the spines of those gathered. Sylvia's eyes widened in horror as she recognized the spell—a forbidden ritual she had once taught Alice in a moment of misguided trust and desperation.

"No, Alice! Don't!" Sylvia cried out, but it was too late.

Alice's body convulsed as the spell took hold. Her form twisted and expanded, her skin darkening and her features contorting into a monstrous visage. New wings erupted from her back, larger and more formidable than before, and her claws grew longer and sharper. She let out a blood-curdling roar as she transformed into a massive, nightmarish creature, towering over everyone in the square.

The townsfolk recoiled in fear, their weapons trembling in their hands. Even Salvador and Sylvia could only watch in stunned horror as their daughter became a monstrous embodiment of her rage and pain.

Miguel, his heart pounding, stepped forward, his resolve hardening despite the terror before him. "Alice!" he shouted, trying to cut through the chaos. "This isn't you. You don't have to become this!"

Alice's monstrous eyes focused on Miguel, filled with a burning hatred. "You will pay for this, Miguel Mangubat!" she roared, her voice a guttural snarl. "All of you will pay!"

With a thunderous beat of her wings, Alice lunged at Miguel, her claws slashing through the air. Miguel quickly avoided her slashes.

"Is that what you can do, Miguel? What a weakling!", Alice mocked Miguel.

"No, I'm not gonna fight you. But my God will fight for us!", declared Miguel.

All of a sudden, a mysterious light glowed around the Midnight Warrior, which surprised Alice .The battle that ensued was a blur of ferocious attacks and desperate defenses, the townsfolk and their allies struggling to fend off Alice's overwhelming power.

Salvador, seeing the destruction his daughter was causing, knew he had to act. He turned to Sylvia, his eyes filled with a fierce determination. "We have to stop her," he said, gripping her hand tightly. "Together."

Sylvia nodded, tears streaming down her face. "For our daughter," she whispered, her voice breaking.

The two of them stepped forward, channeling the knowledge and power they had accumulated over the years. Using a combination of the manananggal elixir and the scientific knowledge Salvador had developed, they began to work on a counter-spell—a last, desperate attempt to save their daughter from the darkness consuming her.

As Alice and Miguel clashed in a brutal confrontation, the ground shook with the force of their battle. Miguel, though determined, struggled against Alice's monstrous strength. Just as it seemed he might be overwhelmed, a brilliant light erupted from Salvador and Sylvia, their counter-spell taking effect.

The light enveloped Alice, halting her in mid-attack. She screamed in rage and agony as the spell began to unravel the dark magic transforming her. Slowly, painfully, her monstrous form began to recede, her body shrinking back to its original size. The fury in her eyes dimmed, replaced by a confused, pained expression.

As the spell completed, Alice collapsed to the ground, her body trembling and weakened but no longer the monster she had become. She looked up at her parents, her eyes filled with tears. "Why... why did you save me?" she whispered, her voice broken.

Salvador and Sylvia knelt beside her, their expressions filled with love and sorrow. "Because you are our daughter," Sylvia said softly, cradling Alice in her arms. "No matter what, we will always love you."

Miguel, battered and exhausted, approached cautiously, his eyes reflecting a mix of relief and empathy. "Alice," he said gently, "it's over. You don't have to fight anymore."

Alice looked around at the gathered townsfolk, seeing the mix of fear, anger, and compassion in their faces. Her own rage and pain slowly began to ebb, replaced by a profound sense of loss and remorse.

As the first light of dawn began to creep over the horizon, the people of San Roque stood together, facing a new day with the hope that healing and redemption were possible, even after the darkest of nights.

The first light of dawn painted the sky in hues of pink and gold, signaling the end of the long, harrowing night. The battle-weary people of San Roque stood amidst the aftermath, their faces a mix of relief and sorrow. The town square, once a scene of chaos, now fell into an uneasy silence.Don Salvador, feeling the first rays of the sun on his skin, hurriedly flew back to where his lower half lay hidden. With practiced precision, he reconnected his torso, the transformation reversing as he returned to his human form. Exhausted but relieved, he looked around to assess the damage and find his family.

Nearby, Alice lay on the ground, her body trembling and weakened from the night's ordeal. The monstrous form that had enveloped her had receded, leaving her in a state of fragile humanity. Her eyes, once filled with rage, now reflected fear and resignation as the sunlight inched closer.Sylvia knelt beside her daughter, tears streaming down her face. "Alice, please hold on," she begged, her voice breaking. "We can still save you."

Alice looked up at her mother, her eyes filled with a mix of pain and regret. "I'm so sorry, Mama," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I never wanted it to end like this."

The sun's rays slowly crept over the horizon, touching Alice's skin. She winced in agony as the light began to burn her, the process of turning to ash beginning. Sylvia cried out in despair, trying to shield Alice from the sunlight with her body.

Just then, Jeremy appeared, staggering under the weight of Alice's lower half. His face was a mask of determination and desperation. "Hold on, Alice!" he shouted, rushing to his sister's side. "I've got you. We can still save you!"

Jeremy knelt beside Alice, frantically trying to connect her halves together. He struggled to align the pieces, his hands shaking with urgency and fear. "Stay with me, sis," he pleaded, his voice choked with emotion. "Just a little longer."

But it was too late. The sun had fully risen, and Alice's body, exposed to the light, began to disintegrate faster. She looked at Jeremy, a sad smile on her lips. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude and sorrow. "For trying."

With her last breath, Alice's body turned to ash, slipping through Jeremy's fingers. A final, gentle breeze carried the remnants away, leaving nothing but a void where she had once been.

Sylvia let out a heart-wrenching cry, her grief palpable as she clutched the empty space where her daughter had been. Salvador, his heart breaking at the sight, wrapped his arms around his wife, holding her tightly as she wept. Jeremy, devastated and numb, collapsed beside them, the weight of his sister's loss crashing down on him.

Miguel, watching from a distance, felt a deep pang of sorrow. Despite everything, he couldn't help but feel the profound tragedy of Alice's fate. He approached the grieving family, his expression somber and filled with empathy. "I'm so sorry," he said quietly, his voice heavy with regret. "She fought so hard."

The townsfolk, who had witnessed the scene with heavy hearts, gathered around, offering their silent support. They had fought and survived the night, but the cost had been steep, and the loss of Alice left a wound that would take time to heal.

As the sun climbed higher, its warmth a stark contrast to the cold emptiness left by Alice's passing, the people of San Roque began to pick up the pieces. They started to clean up, to comfort each other, and to rebuild, united by the bonds forged in the crucible of their shared ordeal.

For Salvador, Sylvia, and Jeremy, the pain of their loss was immense, but so was their resolve to honor Alice's memory by moving forward and helping their town recover. The dawn had brought an end to the darkness, but it also marked the beginning of a long, challenging journey toward healing and redemption.

In the days and weeks that followed, the people of San Roque would work together to restore their town and their spirits, knowing that the legacy of those they had lost, including Alice, would live on in their hearts and in the strength they found in each other.
