As the patrol car zoomed through the metropolis, Alexander looked outside in awe with the brillance of the city lights. Meanwhile, Captain Lawrence asked him (or what he thought was Miguel) about what happened to him with Alice Del Fierro.
"Miguel, how was your date with Miss Alice?", asked Lawrence.
Alexander replied, "Well, nothing out of the ordinary, just the candles, the roses, and some jazz music. Then we had vodka, got drunk, we just had a good time."
Lawrence then said, "Well, that's great, but what if your girlfriend Tabby knew about it?"
Alexander went still. He was surprised of hearing Tabby, the woman he hated the most about Miguel.
"Well, if you don't want Tabby to know that you're dating Miss Alice, then you have to stay silent, that's all," said Lawrence.
"Trust me, Cap," said Alexander, "Tabby will be fine. I won't say a word. Alice and I are just purely business, no malice whatsoever."
Finally, the patrol car reached Miguel's apartment building.
Captain Lawrence gave some advice, "Well then, Miguel, get some rest, and just think nothing happened with you and Alice. I know Tabby trusts you, and you have to trust her as well. So, have a good night." He then left heading towards the police station nearby.
Alexander was dumbfounded by what Captain Lawrence has said. "Tabby trusts Miguel?", he thought, "So I should trust her too?"
He then entered Miguel's apartment.
As he approached Miguel's bachelor pad, he noticed the thick dark curtains covering the windows. It made the room very creepy-looking, and Alexander didn't feel good about it. So, he opened the curtains to let in some light from the neighborhood.
As he went to the bathroom to wash himself, Alexander took his shirt off. He then looked at the mirror and saw himself as the hideous manananggal. But his face didn't look evil; his eyes were shrouded with sadness and worry as thoughts of Tabby went through his mind.
"Tabby?", Alexander said to himself, "Can she trust me?"
Condensation then clouded the mirror, and he wiped it off. Immediately he saw Miguel's lean body, and good-looking face.
"Miguel... you're no skinny twat," Alexander thought.
He went to bed to end the day. It was 2:00AM.
