Paying a Visit

Inside the loft of DF Towers on that Sunday afternoon, Don Salvador del Fierro stood in front of his office window, peeking at the city's skyline below through a gap in the thick curtains, as he pondered about his son Alexander. "I must get him back to us... our family!", thought Salvador. As he said those words, flashbacks of his encounter with Miguel lingered in his mind. He never thought that his son would betray him as much as he has in the past in San Roque.

He then heard someone knocking at the door. It was his wife Madam Sylvia.

"My dear, have you seen our daughter Alice?", asked Sylvia. "No, not yet," answered Salvador.

"I had a talk with her last night about her plans to go abroad for a week for a conference. She just canceled her trip," told Sylvia.

"Well, why is that?", asked Salvador.

Sylvia continued, "She just received a resignation letter signed by no other than her stupid secretary Tabitha Changco. Rather than being happy about it, she went furious and ripped the letter into her own hands. Well, my psychic senses already guessed why she did that!"

Salvador chuckled, "Ha ha ha! I never liked that Tabby or Tabitha or whoever she is... She's a goody-two-shoes brat who always endures a beating! As if she wants to stay with us no matter what the cost! The last time she went to my office, I lashed out at that stupid brat by splashing her face in crap water! The reason? Well, I told her to clean the office including the bathroom. But for whatever reason, she cleaned my office bathroom with freaking pine-scented cleaner! You know how we hate the smell of those things! Remember why we avoided Ciudad de Monte with all the pine trees? And I grabbed her by the head and dipped her face in the toilet water! That was fun seeing her in tears with that crap! Ha ha ha!"

Sylvia laughed with him, "Ha ha ha! That woman is so freaking obsessed with that evil book called "The Holy Bible", she tries to read it in secret away from our eyes! What the heck is she doing?! She messes up with my chakra every time she reads it and prays with it! What did I do? I stormed curses upon her through a doll I made in her likeness. Pricked it with needles, she gets hurt! Burned its hair with a match, she gets a bad hair day! Dipped it in water, she chokes! Ha ha ha! How funny when I see her suffer! But... I am disturbed when I see her pray for her healing! And she gets freaking healed! Grrrr!!!"

"Wait, my darling," said Salvador, "aren't we talking about Alice and not that brat?"

"Sorry, my love, I was carried away," answered Sylvia, "Alice canceled her trip when she received Tabitha's resignation. I sensed in her why... because that brat is dating that equally stupid brat Miguel Mangubat!"

"No, my love! He is our son Alexander!", told Salvador, "I told you for a long time that he is Alexander hiding in that kind-hearted man's body! Now our goal is for him to be with us forever, as a family, in memory of my first wife Ariana!"

Sylvia became furious, "Ariana? Ariana, Ariana, Ariana! Always that woman Ariana! Can't you even move on from your first love?! My love, you're mine now and I'm here to be yours forever!"

"Ariana will always be my first love, and Alexander was the offspring of our love," said Salvador, "This is our conquest to rule the world and allow the domination of our kind! Alexander is the key to our success! But what happened? Those albularyos and babaylans came and attacked me and our manananggal kind! They killed Ariana, my mother, my sisters, and my brothers! But I escaped death! And I vowed to continue that legacy. And I thank you, my darling Sylvia, for being there for me. And with our children Alice and Jeremy, and our distant relatives continuing my bloodline and our legacy, I am confident we will get back Alexander at all costs!"

Sylvia then brought some news, "You do know, my love, every Sunday morning gives us a disturbing presence, because of that nearby Christian church! You know, that All Nations Rise Church just around the corner! But today's Sunday was different. I was able to pick up the news that Miguel went to that church!"

"How interesting!", said Salvador, "Then what happened?"

"I heard from our minions that Alexander showed up, and he tried to choke the pastor there!", said Sylvia as she laughed. "Ha ha ha! How that poor thing suffered!"

"I hate pastors! They mindfully try to kill me spiritually!", exclaimed Salvador.

"But this stupid thing happened! The congregation quickly battled Alexander, not through a physical fight, but through prayer! They shouted prayers like they were in a battle! It deeply disturbed Alexander to the point he was in great pain! And he shouted the name of that Man! Grrr!!! I hate that Man!", Sylvia said.

"Who's that Man?", asked Salvador.

"That Man in that freaking Bible! The Man who died on the cross, which is now the vilest thing ever! My most hated thing!", answered Sylvia.

"Ah, okay, I get it," said Salvador, "It was our son's chance of redemption! But he's still defeated by that stupid mob!"

"But I wanna share with you another great news, my love," said Sylvia, "the pastor and his elders are going to Sitio San Roque next weekend! It will be them, together with Miguel and Tabitha!"

That news excited Salvador even more. "My love, this is our chance!", he said, "Our chance to recover our lost hacienda! Our chance to retaliate from our loss! Our chance to get Alexander back to our family forever!"

They let out an evil laugh. Soon enough, they prepared themselves to pay a visit to Sitio San Roque at the same moment as Miguel and Tabitha's family.
