Prepare for Invasion

As Darryl stood amid the camp, his phone suddenly buzzed with an incoming call. With a furrowed brow, he answered, only to hear the unmistakable voice of Don Salvador del Fierro on the other end.

"Darryl," Salvador's voice boomed through the receiver, "I have a task for you. Find Sylvia, my wife, and bring her back to me. Do not involve Alice and Jeremy in this matter. They have their responsibilities to attend to."

Darryl's heart raced with apprehension and determination as he listened to Salvador's instructions. Though he harbored deep loyalty to the Del Fierro family, he couldn't shake the feeling that something sinister was at play.

"Yes, sir," Darryl replied, his voice tinged with uncertainty, "I'll do as you command. Sylvia's safety is my top priority."

Meanwhile, in a secluded corner of the camp, Alice and Jeremy huddled together, their faces illuminated by the glow of a flickering lantern. With a sense of urgency, they called out their entire army and outlined their plan to invade San Roque under the cover of the town's upcoming fiesta.

"As you all know, the fiesta in San Roque is just a few days away," Alice began, her voice loud and filled with determination, "And this presents us with the perfect opportunity to execute our plan."

Jeremy nodded in agreement, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "You, our dear minions, will enter the town as ordinary tourists, blending in with the crowd and enjoying the festivities. But you will then reveal your true forms when night falls. As menacing manananggals, you unleash chaos upon the unsuspecting townspeople!"

The minions murmured amongst themselves, their faces twisted with anticipation as they eagerly awaited their orders. For years, they had served the Del Fierro family without question, and now they were ready to carry out their master's bidding once more.

One of the male leaders of the manananggal army asked, "Why are we even doing this? Our main targets are Miguel Mangubat and Tabby Changco, not the townsfolk who are now against us!"

"Our main objective is to create a diversion," Alice continued, her voice dripping with malice, "While the townspeople are preoccupied with the manananggal attacks, we'll have a window of opportunity to capture Miguel and Tabby without others getting in our way.

A wicked grin spread across Jeremy's face as he surveyed his minions, his eyes alight with the promise of victory. "This will be our moment of triumph," he declared, his voice echoing with the zeal of impending conquest, "San Roque will fall, and the Del Fierro legacy will be secured once and for all!" He then let out an evil laugh. Soon after Alice laughs with him as well.

"Now, our army, PREPARE FOR INVASION!", she shouted.

With their plan set in motion, Alice and Jeremy's minions dispersed into the night, their hearts filled with anticipation and their minds consumed by visions of conquest and glory. But little did they know that their actions would set off a chain of events that would forever alter the course of their lives – and the lives of those they sought to destroy.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the Calachuchi Inn, Miguel and his family, along with Sylvia and Esperanza, finally arrived at their destination. With hearts full of hope and anticipation, they approached the humble inn where they hoped to find sanctuary and safety.

As they entered the inn's courtyard, they were greeted by the sight of Tabby and her family waiting anxiously for their arrival. Tears welled up in Tabby's eyes as she caught sight of Miguel, and without hesitation, she ran into his arms, her heart overflowing with joy and relief.

"Miguel!" Tabby exclaimed, her voice choked with emotion, "I missed you so much!"

Miguel held her tightly, his own eyes brimming with tears. "I missed you too, Tabby," he whispered, his voice filled with love and gratitude, "I thought I'd never see you again."
