On the day of his 18th birthday, Miguel was surrounded by friends in his apartment, all bearing gifts and well wishes. Yet, despite the jovial atmosphere, a cloud of unease hung over Miguel. His talent manager, Mr. Sam Garrido, noticed this and decided to have a private conversation with him.

"Miguel," Sam began, concern etched on his face, "What's bothering you? Is there a problem at home? Do you need financial help? Are you feeling unwell? Talk to me."

Miguel took a deep breath and said, "Boss Sam, I think I need to take a break from modelling. I need to concentrate on my studies and not get distracted by the glamour of the modelling world."

Sam was taken aback. "Why would you say that, Miguel? You have everything - money, fame, admirers... You're now of legal age to enjoy all of life's pleasures! Why would you want to give all this up?"

Miguel then revealed his secret. He came from a lineage of faith healers who lived as farmers in the secluded town of San Roque. He spoke of the perilous supernatural forces that could potentially harm him and his family if he continued to live in the public eye without any protection.

Sam was stunned. "Is this true, Miguel?" he asked. Miguel nodded, "Yes, it is. But I don't want anyone else to know about this. It's our secret until the time is right."

Sam then recalled an incident from the previous night. "Could that have been one of those forces you're talking about?" he asked. Miguel confirmed his suspicion, "Yes, they're seeking revenge against our family."

Understanding the gravity of the situation, Sam agreed to terminate Miguel's modelling contract. Miguel then focused on his education, but their friendship remained strong. They continued to be best friends and colleagues, bound by a secret they promised to keep.

The following day, Sam called for a meeting at the modelling agency. The room was filled with anticipation as everyone waited for Sam to speak. He cleared his throat and began, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an announcement to make. Miguel, our brightest young talent, has decided to end his contract with us."

A wave of shock swept through the room. Colleagues exchanged worried glances, murmuring their concerns about losing Miguel, who was not just a promising model but also a beloved friend.

Sam raised his hand to silence the room. "I understand your concerns," he said, "Miguel's decision was not made lightly. He has chosen to focus on his studies, a decision we must respect."

"But what about the agency?" one of the colleagues asked, "Miguel was our best. How can we fill his shoes?"

Sam smiled reassuringly, "Yes, Miguel is indeed a great talent. But remember, this agency has always been about discovering and nurturing new talents. We've done it before, and we will do it again. This is not the end, but a new beginning. Together, we will continue to grow and bring in fresh faces to keep our agency at the top."

With that, the room filled with applause, not just for Sam's reassuring words, but also for Miguel, who had made a brave decision. Despite the initial shock, everyone understood and respected Miguel's choice, and they were ready to face the future with optimism.
