Prior Notice

After the weightlifting at the gym, Alexander went to the shower room to cool down. Afterwards he went to the locker room where he met two of Miguel's old college friends, Tommy Lao, who worked in the Accounting Department, and Vincent Stevenson, who worked in the IT Department.

"Dude!", exclaimed Tommy, "you looked pumped this morning, Mike!"

"Yeah, man," said Vincent, "you definitely made your boo fall in love with you even more!"

"It was just nothing, bros," Alexander said, pretending to be Miguel, "I just don't wanna look scrawny anymore."

"And what's up with Alice?", asked Tommy.

"Did you... make it?", Vincent jokingly asked.

"Nah, it's was just purely business talk, the future of the company, that's all.", Alexander replied.

Tommy just remembered something, and said, "Hey, dude, have you heard the news from the Admin department?" "What did you say?" asked Alexander.

"You didn't know?", said Vincent, "Tabitha Changco is leaving Del Fierro in 2 weeks! Hasn't she sent you a message yesterday?"

Then, Alexander just remembered another one of the chat messages Tabitha sent to Miguel's phone that morning:

"Babe, I'm leaving DF in 14 days, can we talk about it at lunchtime?"

There he told his friends, "Ah, yeah, yeah, I will meet her this lunchtime."

"Best of luck, bro, I mean, her leaving the company will mean a lot to her, and her family," said Tommy.

"And yeah, you better be careful with Alice too! She's got a pair of feisty eyes.", warned Vincent.

They went to each other's ways afterward.

In the office, as Alexander was walking towards Miguel's room, everyone in the New Developments department was spreading gossip. Whispers of rumors were heard on the office cubicles.

"Is Sir Miguel dating Ma'am Alice?"

"Sir Miguel got drunk last night?"

"Sir Miguel was seen shirtless outside Ma'am Alice's office?"

"Is Miss Tabby resigning because of Ma'am Alice?"

"Did they had a one-night stand?"

Alexander did not mind the rumors, as they did not matter about him. He went on and entered Miguel's office.

Tired from his gym session, Alexander took a nap at Miguel's desk. While asleep, inside Miguel's mind, Miguel's battered soul lied down on a dark floor. Alexander's soul, in manananggal form, approached Miguel, and said, "Well Miguel, I quite like you, and I'm proud of you, but the rumors are spreading. You are in great danger. You are about to lose your love Tabby, and she is heading away. Here's my prior notice, Miguel... she will be MINE!"

Miguel in despair, tried to punch Alexander in the face, but the manananggal quickly held his fist and took him down with a blow to the floor.

Alexander said, "Miguel, I'm in the position now. What should be mine, you took it by yourself! Now, I will have Tabby and soon I will have her family, and later enough, the whole world! HA HA HA HA!"

As he laughed, he laughed in his sleep as well, but his head hit the lampshade above him, and he quickly woke up.

Looking through the glass in his office, he saw Tabitha approaching. He turned at the clock, it's almost 11:30 AM.

He had to fix himself, ready to disguise himself as the kind, mild-mannered Miguel.
