As the sun began to reach its full height at midday, casting a warm glow over the Calachuchi Inn, Tabby sat by her father's side, her heart heavy with worry. Elijah lay on a makeshift bed, his chest bandaged from the wound inflicted by Jeremy del Fierro. Despite the pain etched on his face, there was a glimmer of determination in his eyes as he looked at his daughter.

"Tabby, my dear," Elijah said, his voice weak but filled with love, "I want you to know that I'll be fine. Your mother and siblings need you now more than ever, and I'll be here waiting for you when you return."

Tears welled up in Tabby's eyes as she listened to her father's words, her heart overflowing with love and gratitude. "But Dad, I don't want to leave you here alone," she said, her voice trembling with emotion.

Elijah reached out and gently took his daughter's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "You won't be alone, Tabby. Pastor Kevin and his companions have assured me that they'll take good care of me while you're away. And besides, I have your mother, Bart, and Liza here to keep me company."

Tabby nodded, her fears somewhat assuaged by her father's comforting words. "Okay, Dad. But please promise me that you'll take care of yourself and rest," she said, her voice filled with concern.

Elijah smiled weakly, his gaze filled with paternal affection. "I promise, my dear. Now go and do what you need to do. We'll be waiting for your return."

With a heavy heart, Tabby kissed her father on the forehead before rising to her feet. She turned to her mother, Miriam, and her siblings, Bart and Liza, who stood nearby, their faces etched with worry.

"Mom, Bart, Liza," Tabby began, her voice steady despite the tumult of emotions raging within her, "We need to go find Miguel and his family. Dad will be okay here with Pastor Kevin and the others. We can't let them face this danger alone."

Miriam nodded, her eyes brimming with tears. "You're right, Tabby. We can't let fear hold us back. We'll stick together and find Miguel and his family, no matter what."

Bart and Liza exchanged determined nods, their resolve mirrored in their eyes. "We're with you, Ate Tabby," Bart said, his voice filled with conviction. "Let's go bring them home."

As the Changco family prepared to embark on their quest to rescue Miguel and his family, their hearts filled with hope and determination. Though the road ahead would be fraught with danger and uncertainty, they knew that as long as they stood together, they could overcome any obstacle that stood in their way. With a silent prayer for strength and guidance, they set out into the unknown, their spirits undaunted by the challenges that lay ahead.

In the meantime, Pastor Kevin gathered Dr. Earl Komar and the other male senior members of the All Nations Rise church who were with them. He instructed them to stay with Elijah Changco and ensure his safety and well-being while the rest of the party embarked on their mission.

"We may not know what lies ahead, but we must trust in the Lord's guidance and protection," Pastor Kevin said, his voice filled with conviction. "Let us pray for Elijah's swift recovery and for the success of our mission to bring our loved ones home."

With bowed heads and joined hands, Pastor Kevin and his companions offered up a heartfelt prayer for Elijah's healing and for the safety of those who ventured forth into the night. As their voices rose in unison, a sense of peace descended upon the Calachuchi Inn, enveloping them in a warm embrace of faith and hope.

As the weight of her past sins bore down upon her, Sylvia crumpled to her knees, her body racked with sobs of anguish and regret. For years, she had embraced the darkness that came with her lineage as a mangkukulam, believing it to be her destiny and her source of power. But now, faced with the consequences of her actions and the betrayal of her own mother, Sylvia felt an overwhelming sense of despair.

"I-I'm sorry, Mother," Sylvia choked out between gasping breaths, her voice thick with tears, "I thought I could be the best mangkukulam, but I was wrong. I've caused so much pain and suffering, and now you've left me..."

Esperanza knelt beside her daughter, wrapping her arms around her in a gesture of comfort and forgiveness. "Oh, my dear Sylvia," she whispered, her voice filled with love and compassion, "You were never meant to bear this burden alone. I should have been there for you, guiding you towards the light instead of succumbing to the darkness."

Miguel stepped forward, his eyes filled with empathy and understanding. "Sylvia, you don't have to carry the weight of your past mistakes forever. God's grace is infinite, and He offers forgiveness to all who seek it. You have the power to choose a different path, one filled with love, compassion, and redemption."

Sylvia looked up at her brother, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "But how can I ever make amends for all the pain I've caused?" she asked, her voice filled with doubt.

Esperanza smiled gently, brushing a stray tear from her daughter's cheek. "By choosing to walk in the light, Sylvia. By embracing the love and forgiveness that God offers us all. And by joining us in our mission to bring hope and healing to those who need it most."

With a trembling sigh, Sylvia nodded, her heart heavy with emotion but also filled with a newfound sense of hope. "I-I'll try, Mother. I'll try to be better, to do better."

Esperanza pulled her daughter into a tight embrace, holding her close as they shared a moment of healing and reconciliation. "That's all I could ever ask for, Sylvia. That's all any of us can do – strive to be better than we were yesterday."

Miguel smiled, his heart filled with gratitude for the opportunity to help his sister find her way back to the light. "Come, Sylvia. Let's go meet Tabby and her family at the Calachuchi Inn. Together, we can face whatever challenges lie ahead, knowing that we have each other and the love of God to guide us."

With renewed determination and a sense of purpose, Sylvia rose to her feet, her eyes shining with newfound resolve. "Yes, let's go. I want to make things right, to find redemption for myself and for our family."

Hand in hand, the three of them set out into the high noon, their hearts united in their quest for healing, forgiveness, and redemption. Though the road ahead would be fraught with challenges and obstacles, they knew that as long as they faced them together, they could overcome anything that stood in their way. With each step forward, they moved closer to a future filled with hope, love, and the promise of a new beginning.

Meanwhile, a heated conversation happened between Alice and Jeremy inside their camp outside San Roque.

"You fool!" Alice hissed, her eyes flashing with barely contained rage, "You let them slip through our fingers! Tabby and her family were right there, within our grasp, and this pesky sun let them escape!"

Jeremy bristled at his sister's accusation, his own anger simmering just beneath the surface. "Me? You're the one who underestimated them, Alice! You thought you could waltz in there and snatch them away without a fight. But you were wrong – just like you always are!"

Their heated exchange was suddenly interrupted by the unexpected arrival of their guard, Darryl Sioson. "Madam Alice, Sir Jeremy," he began, his voice hesitant, "I hate to interrupt, but I need to know... Have you heard from Madam Sylvia? She's been missing since she stayed with the Mangubat family, and we have no idea where she is."

Alice and Jeremy exchanged worried glances, their previous argument momentarily forgotten as they grappled with the implications of Sylvia's disappearance. "No, Darryl," Alice replied, her voice tinged with concern, "We haven't heard from Mother since she went to confront the Mangubats. But we'll find her. We have to."

Jeremy nodded in agreement, his mind racing with thoughts of their mother's safety. "You're right, Alice. We can't let anything happen to her. Mother's the key to our plans, just like Miguel and Tabby."

Now, a cloud of uncertainty lingers over the Del Fierro siblings. Will they recover their mother Sylvia? Or will they continue to pursue their targets Tabby and Miguel?
