Meanwhile, at the DF Towers penthouse, the matriarch Sylvia Ortega-Del Fierro was furious over what happened the other night. She could not resist the powerful force brought about by the prayers of the Changco family. Also, she could not believe how Miguel got stronger against his stepson Alexander. There she complained to her husband Salvador.
"That stupid piece of crap! I couldn't believe he did that last night! That son of a gun thinks he can just defeat our beloved Alexander!", exclaimed Sylvia.
"Relax, my love," said Salvador, "we still have an entire troop of subjects up our sleeves. We also have our other children Alice and Jeremy. They know what to do."
"Are you insane, my love?!", told Sylvia, "you just let a prayerful family get on the way of our Alexander! They will be defeated if we don't act! Now should be the time that we engage in an attack that will surprise many, especially Tabitha and her family!"
"How, my love? Are you the one doing it?", asked Salvador.
"Well, it seems something is coming up with that brat Miguel. My brother Captain Lawerence is currently patrolling the area of Nations Arise Church in the Masinop District. And he just reported to me that the brat Miguel is there with the Changcos. So, I just thought of a plan to disrupt the 'solemnity' of the church service: by unleashing Alexander and harming Tabitha!", told Sylvia.
"Really? At this time of the morning?", asked Salvador.
"Don't be silly. I'm the best mangkukulam there is!," answered Sylvia, "I will do the same spell I did with Alexander last night, and also, at the same time, I will harm his love Tabitha, a little tiny bit... with this!" She showed Salvador a voodoo doll in the likeness of Tabitha.
"Brilliant, my love, you're such a cunning woman!", exclaimed Salvador, after which they exchanged a passionate kiss.
Then, Sylvia brought our her massive plan. She brought some of her subjects into the ritual room to assist her with the spells. After the materials have been laid out, she then lets out a chant:
"By the powers of the darkness below, forces of evil come high and low;
Let the love of lovers be destroyed, take them both in an endless void!"
Sylvia let out an evil laugh, as forces of darkness rise and flew away to the premises of the church.
At church, the worship songs were being played, and the audience was singing aloud, except for Miguel, who just stood there observing. It gained a foothold of a dark demon to slip through the confines of the church, heavily guarded spiritually by an army of angels. The demon was able to get through the building without notice and went near Miguel.
The demon whispered through Miguel's ear.
"Hey, Miguel, you're just being deceived by the Changco family. You can't expect anything here. God doesn't mind if you don't sing, just continue observing!", told the demon.
Indeed, Miguel followed that strange voice and continued observing the singing of the worship leaders.
Meanwhile, while Tabitha was trying to sing worship songs, she suddenly heard a strange sharp buzz in her ear, like a microphone put directly towards a speaker.
"Ow! What was that, Mom?", she complained, covering her ears in pain.
"Are you OK, my dear?", asked Mommy Miriam.
"It's probably with the sound system, it's nothing," told Tabby.
Nevertheless, she continued to raise her hands while trying to cover her ears.
After the singing was over, Pastor Kevin arrived at the pulpit. There he introduced a message about Living for God, turning to the main passage of 1st Peter chapter 4.
The demon continued whispering to Miguel, "Come on Miguel, it's just a waste of time. Why bother living for God when other people know you're a monster?"
Tabby, on the other hand, kept on covering and rubbing her ears as the painful buzz continued to bother her.
"Mom, Dad, can I go to the toilet in a bit? The sound system's bothering me," she said.
"Their sound system's just fine. What's wrong, my daughter? Maybe you need to go to the clinic in the other room," told Daddy Eli.
"OK, I'll go to the clinic instead," said Tabby. She immediately walked silently outside the worship hall and into the church's clinic.
In the spiritual realm, a female demon was floating on top of Tabby, poking her ears to disturb her hearing.
"Come on little girl, don't receive Pastor's message," the demon said to her.
As Miguel was hearing the pastor, inside his mind, Alexander's soul was awakened by the sound of the demon's whispers. He wondered where it came from. There, from the window of Miguel's eyes, he saw the demon conversing with Miguel and blocking his spiritual eyes from the pastor. Alexander smiled as he thought it was his parents doing the job again. Suddenly the demon called Alexander's name.
"Hey Alexander, I have a message for you," said the demon.
"What is it?", asked Alexander.
"Our masters Salvador and Sylvia told us that you need to attack Tabitha's father after the service," told the demon.
"Perfect," Alexander replied, "Miguel is beside Tabitha's father Elijah. I'm so sure I can get a grasp of him once the service ends!"
However, the plan gets spoiled, as an angel peeked through the seats and saw the demon near Miguel.
