You're sat on the roof of your house playing your guitar while listening to music. This has become something of a routine now. Everyday.
"Uhm...... excuse me?"
You look over the edge of your roof and see the princess. You quickly jump down and stand in front of her.
"Princess. What can i do for you?" You ask.
"Does....."
She looks down at a sheet of paper.
"Y/n Y/l/n live near here?"
"That's me. I'm Y/n." You say.
"Wow. Perfect. Hi." Jade says.
"Hi. What can i do for you Princess?" You ask.
"My parents needed to talk to you but i can tell you." Jade says.
"Oh okay. What do you need to tell me?" You ask.
"There's a ball coming up. Next month. They wanted you to go." Jade says.
"Why me? I'm one of the most...... none famous people in the world. Me of all people?"
"Yeah. There's a specific reason for it." Jade says.
You nod.
"Okay. Well, is there anything specific i have to wear?" You ask.
"Yeah. Just a suit. Or a dress." Jade says.
You nod.
"Okay. What day?"
"Tuesday. 8th." Jade says.
"Okay i can get things ready for that. You're gunna have to tell my parents because they wont believe me." You say.
She nods. After Jade has told your parents, you walk her to the car she came in.
When it's time for the thing, you're stood in your bedroom looking in the mirror.

"Yeah?!"
"Come on you'll be late!"
You grab your phone and go downstairs. When at the castle, you freeze. Why would you be invited to this? I mean... they dont even know you. You walk to the door and it opens. There stands Jade. She looks beautiful.

"Hey." She says.
You smile.
"Hey."
You follow Jade to the main area and there's a fuck load of famous people. Royals and shit.
"Oh my god..."
"What?" Jade asks.
"There's just...... there's so many people here...."
"Yeah. My parents go a little overboard sometimes." Jade says.
You nod. Some people walk over. Jade quickly grabs your hand.
"I'll explain later." She says.
You nod.
"Hi Princess Jade."
"Hey Princess Lauren." Jade says.
She looks at you. You panic a little and squeeze Jade's hand. She lightly runs her thumb up and down the back of your hand.
"Who's this?" Princess Lauren asks.
"My date. Y/n Y/l/n." Jade says.
"You're royalty?" Lauren asks.
"No. No she's one of my friends friend." Jade says.
"Well you're lucky aren't you?" Lauren asks.
Jade swats Lauren's shoulder. And they laugh.
"I'm joking. I'm joking. It's nice to meet you Y/n." Lauren says.
You shake hands. Her girlfriend, Princess Ally, walks over.
"Who's this?" Ally asks.
"Jade's date." Lauren says.
"Oooooo. Jade you gotta tell us something?"
Jade laughs.
"Shush." Jade says.
When Lauren and Ally walk off, Jade pulls you to a private section of the party.
"They wanted me to invite someone i liked. My parents. They wanted me to invite someone that I've had eyes on for a while and you're that person. The amount of times I've just sat and kinda watched you play your guitar. Or just sit on your roof. Or just something you do. I dunno what it is about you Y/n. You're just.... you're so you and that's amazing. I mean it's amazing how you're just able to be so you and not be scared of it." Jade says.
She smiles.
"I just really really like you. And yeah i know i dont know you really but i wanna get to know you before i lose the chance to." Jade says.
"Why would you lose the chance? You're the Princess. You can come to my house whenever you want. I cant. You live here but i cant get in without being shot." You say.
"Okay you wont get shot Y/n. But i understand what you mean." She says.
"Exactly Princess. And besides, you always have the chance but i dont because my parents wouldn't let me." You say.
She gets an idea. She sneaks you both off to her bedroom and shuts the door.
"Why am i in your bedroom?" You ask.
She kisses you. It's a very fast kiss.
"That's why you're in my room. I just couldn't be bothered answering questions." Jade says.
You kiss her. She kisses back.
After a little while, you both sneak back into the party. You become a little bit more calm and Jade wont leave your side. She's right next to you the whole time.
"It would appear as if your date has become less shy Jade." Lauren says.
Jade looks at you. You're getting a drink.
"We kissed." Jade says.
"Oooooo Jade you go girl!" Lauren says.
Jade laughs.
"I really like her." Jade says.
Lauren smiles.
"The sooner you get to know her, the better a chance you'll have of being with her. That happened with me and Ally. We were in yours and Y/n's situation. Took us 2 months to get together. Granted we had sex but still." Lauren says.
"Lauren, babes, you're silly." Jade says.
Lauren smiles. You walk back over to Jade and stand next to her.
After the party, Jade takes you home. When home, you and Jade swap numbers and hug.
"Talk to you later Y/n."
You go to say something but she plants a kiss on your lips and walks back to the car. You wave and she waves back. You go into your bedroom and get into bed. You smile and fall asleep knowing that you're the luckiest person in this country.
