Your POV

I'm in an interview with my band right now. We're quite a popular pop punk band. I'm the lead guitarist. We're a british band. I'm 19 and I'm dating, be prepared, JADE THIRLWALL!!

I know right?! Jade Thirlwall from Little fucking Mix! We love their band. Our band ADORES Little Mix. Me and Jade actually met at the MTV award.

Jade is 25. I mean yeah there's a 6 year age gap but we don't care. We're happy together.

Anyways so we're in an interview to promote our new song 'Dear Maria, Count Me In'. Fucking good song.

"Alright so very excited to talk about your new song today. We rarely get punk bands on here but, you guys are just great. So! Lets get started. Talk us through the process Y/n!" Our interviewer says.

"Oh someone else do it. I didn't write anything other than my guitar." I say.

Everybody laughs.

"Yeah Y/n doesn't do any of the songwriting. She cannot write songs to save her life." Maya says.

Maya is our singer. We get to the part of the interview i was expecting but love very much.

"So Y/n. Been a lot of conversations about you lately. A lot of posts on Instagram, Twitter. Christ even google articles. About you and a certain Brunette Geordie. Talk us through it. How did you guys meet? I mean you're 19 and Jade is 25."

I smile. Everybody looks at me.

"Oh so basically I've had a crush on Jade since the X-factor days. About 6 years ago or so. And I've been waiting since then to slide into the dm's. I'm not even joking. The second i turned 18, i messaged her. Cos i mean we've been quite popular since i was 16. And by the time i was 18 we'd already won an award. Little Mix know who we are." I say.

"Also don't forget that Y/n is the baby of the band." Isla/Iz says.

Iz is our bassist.

"Yeah that's true." Cal, our drummer, says.

"So yeah when i turned 18, literally the day i turned 18, i slid in. I knew it was a shot in the dark cos like it might've been weird for her. And to be fair she waited about 2 months to message me. But she messaged me back and we literally hit it off like a snap of a finger. About 4 months of messaging, i asked her out on a date. 3 dates later and I'm dating a girl from the biggest and most popular girl band in England. Almost even the world." I say.

"Y/n's been a day one mixer." Cal says.

"I have! I love Little Mix! If i could sing I'd send an application to be Little Mix number 5." I say.

Everybody laughs.

"Well Y/n we have a surprise for you. Someone you haven't seen for about 2 months because of busy schedules. So, bring them out!"

I look at the door and my mouth drops open with an incredibly large smile.

"JAAADE!!"

"Y/N!!!"

I pull off my headphones and run over. Immediately wrapping my arms around her waist. She wraps hers around my neck. I lift her and spin us.

"I missed you so much! I didn't know you were gunna be here!" I say.

We kiss.

"Okay okay lovebirds, come sit down!" Iz says.

We pull back and sit on the chair. They give Jade a set of headphones. We put our headphones on. I put mine on and Jade sits on my knee. I put an arm around her.

"So Jade! Welcome to Capitol radio! Great to have you back!"

"It's good to be back!" Jade says.

I smile and put my head on her shoulder. She holds my hand.

"So Y/n just gave us the rundown about how you two actually met and started dating. How was it from your side?"

"Oh so Y/n literally messaged me the second she turned 18. And i was like 'oh this is gunna be weird if someone finds out that me, as a 24 year old, messages a freshly 18 year old. I felt bad for leaving her on delivered so i only waited about 2 months. Still could be weird but i mean i just wanted to message her. So i opened the chat and come face to face with THE wordt pick up line ever. Like it was so so bad." Jade says.

"You said you liked it!" I say.

"Well i wasn't gunna leave you on delivered for 2 months and be like 'your pickup line is shh...' i cant say that... 'your pickup line is rubbish'. But you made up for it by being cute. And winning me over on the date." Jade says

"God make us feel single!" Maya says.

"Babe you have a boyfriend! You all have boyfriends!" I say.

"Yeah but our boyfriends are back down south." Cal says.

"Well that's a skill issue babes." I say.

"You're so friendly to your band mates." Jade says.

"You should see us in the studio babe." I say.

The interview eventually wraps up and our band plus Jade are on our way to our show. We're playing in a festival absolutely massive festival.

Playing at Leeds Fest. It's great. We're on first and then taking off cos we have our long trip back down south.

Me and Jade eventually get home. Well to Jade's house. We haven't moved in together. That's the next big step. Soon as i turn 20. So about 7 or so months. We're already planning it.

I'm moving in with Jade.

I flop down in her sofa.

"You tired bubs?" Jade asks.

"Ugh exhausted." I say.

She sits on my back because I'm literally hogging the sofa.

"You wanna go to bed?" Jade asks.

"No I'm so hungry. Can we get take out?" I ask.

"You're literally the best person ever. I've been craving take out for like a month." Jade says.

We order a chinese take away, eat on the sofa while watching our show together and then go to bed. We cuddle up in her bed.

Jade's always been the little spoon. She's a softie. Softie's have to be little spoon. She made it very clear when we started dating that she's the little spoon. Which was fine by me.

Before we go to sleep, i place a kiss on her neck.

"Love you baby." Jade says.

"I love you too bubba." I say.

We fall asleep not long after.

Well hello! I'd say what a surprise by my Little Mix era is back strong. So I'm getting back to the Jade book. I hope you enjoyed.
