New kid pt 2

The day progresses rather slowly for Jade. Period 3 rolls around after what seems like forever. Jade has Maths. Which she's never been good at. Hopefully you're good so you can help her. Which is exactly what happens.

This happens in almost every single lesson. Holding back on Biology which she's always been good at.

It's been about 3 months. You're both sat in your bedroom looking through everything for the upcoming History test. Which is split really. 70/30. 70% teaching Jade the terminology which she never got down because Miss Collinson went through it too fast. And the other 30% actually revising.

"Wait wait. So the Gestapo are who?" Jade asks.

"They're the secret police that Hitler had working for him." You say.

Jade nods. She writes it down as this test is just a basic knowledge test. There's a lot of the terminology that she doesn't know but she's decided to keep quiet simply because she doesn't wanna piss you off by constantly asking what the words mean. You start testing her.

"Okay what are the gestapo?"

"Hitler's secret police." Jade says.

"Who did Ernst Rohm work with? SS or SA?"

She freezes almost.

"I-uhm..... i-i...."

"Hey if you dont know it dont push yourself. He worked with the SA. You might wanna right that down. One marker questions are motherfuckers in History."

She nods.

"If you dont know certain terminology, i wont test you until you know it. Tell me what you dont know and I'll tell you what they mean." You say.

She gives you the list of the terminology she doesn't know. You tell her what each means and dont move on until she's ready.

The test is in a few days and that's the reason you're both going through everything now. Not only that but she got exceedingly overwhelmed earlier while trying to find out what things meant and she cried. Lucky for Jade, you were there.

You know she's on edge with everything right now so you figured it'd be better for her to go through everything together.

When you've gone through everything, you give Jade a relatively simple exam style question.

"It's only a 9 marker question. So you dont have to worry about it. I can give you a hand with it if you want." You say.

"No I'd have to do it on my own in the exam." Jade says.

"Dont push yourself into it. It'll stress you out unbelievably if you do." You say

"I can do it." Jade says.

You nod. You let her do the test with all the notes you got together while you just sit on your phone. While she does the test, you hear her breathing become a little rapid. Her breaths are uneven and all over the place. You look at her.

She's got half a paragraph and she cant think of anything else.

"Jade."

Her eyes start tearing up.

"Hey." You say.

You pull her into a hug and she just cries. You gently rub her back to soothe her.

"It's okay. You're okay." You say.

You manage to move the notes so there's more space for you to move your legs so she can sit between them. You do what you did with your best friend when she was like this. You gently pull your fingers through her hair.

You both remain in this position for ages. Until you manage to calm her down.

"Jade?"

"Yeah." She mutters.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah.... just got stressed out." She says.

"Would you like to stop for tonight? We can always double over it tomorrow in form." You say.

"Yes please." Jade says.

"That's fine."

You put all the things away and you both just sit and talk. You put on a movie on your TV and you both just chill.

"Sorry about the whole... breakdown thing." Jade says.

"Dont apologise. You're allowed to stress about something. God knows how much i stress over shit smaller than this stupid test." You say.

She nods. During the movie, she finds herself cuddled up into your side with one of your arms around her shoulder.

"What exactly is this film about? I'm lost." Jade says.

You explain the basics of the film without giving anything away in case she wants to watch the movie and takes an interest in it. Jade nods and when the movie ends, she sits amazed.

"How have i never watched this before? That was amazing." Jade says.

"I figured you'd like it. It's why i didn't spoil the ending. The ending is the best part." You say.

"No kidding." Jade says.

You both just chill before falling asleep with another film on in the background.
