Jade Thirlwall Imagines Book 2

Detective

Jade is layed in bed fast asleep flat out on her stomach. It's late ish. 9pm. She fell asleep an hour ago. You're not in bed. You're in your office. Working on a case that you and your detectives have been working on for months.

You're staring at the board, leaning on your desk.

"So if..... he was killed by him, then she wasn't killed by him. But if he was killed by her, then she was killed by her but he wasn't killed by her......"

The door opens.

"Y/n it's 9:30pm what are you doing." Jade asks.

You look at her then back at the board.

"Tryna connect the dots." You say.

You go to the board and put a pin on the female suspect. Amy Montgomery. She walks in, shuts the door and walks over to you.

"So what are you thinking then?" Jade asks.

"Well, if Steven killed Jamie he cant have killed Lilly. But if Amy killed Jamie, she killed Lilly but not Aaron. There's no evidence that supports her killing Aaron, Lilly AND Jamie." You say.

"What is Steven and Amy were working together?" Jade asks.

You shake your head.

"We've tried that. Checked every murder spot but there's no evidence that suggests both of them working together." You say.

"Is there evidence of them not working together?" Jade asks.

"Neither. But it's less likely that they're working together."

"But it's still likely." Jade says.

You think for a minute. You check the evidence and check the pictures of each body.

"Can you hold this for a minute baby?" You ask.

She takes the file and you start looking through your draws. You find more pins and thread. You start doing thing, connecting more dots. And finally, you take the file. You empty it all out and and put it all on the wall. You put pins and thread onto it and stand back. Your eyes widen when you realise. You move one pin to another person and stand back.

"Oh my god..... I've cracked it......"

"What?" Jade asks.

"I've done it." You say.

"You have to tell the others! Y/n you have to take the evidence back to the station!" Jade says.

You pull the board off the wall. Jade grabs the keys and you both go to the station.

"Y/n."

"I've done it. I know who did it." You say.

You put the board on the wall and the lead detective looks at it. He follows everything and his eyes widen.

"You've done it. Y/n! You've done it! We have the killers!"

"Send some officers out to the houses and get them. Bring them down for questioning." You say.

"This is brilliant Y/n! Brilliant!"

You and Jade get home and you're basically high at this point. You're so happy and you're now wide awake.

"I'm so proud of you baby." Jade says.

You smile, hug her and spin. Making her laugh. You stand still and kiss her. She smiles into the kiss and kisses back. You pull back from the kiss and she smiles.

"It's taken me almost 5 months to solve this case. You have no idea how happy i am about this." You say.

"I can tell how happy you are. C'mon lets go to bed." Jade says.

She pulls you up to bed. You know exactly where this is going.
