You can hear wishes

You're sat on the backyard. Well, you're layed on a bench with your group of friends listening to music. You have a special power. The ability to grant wishes.

"I wish i had some fuckin food!"

You smile a little and click your fingers. His wish comes true. You friends know about your power. They tested it out.

"Ugh i wish it was 3pm. I'm done with school."

Unfortunately, you cant do time wishes. You wish you could but you cant grant your own wishes.

"I wish i had a damn Ferrari..."

You click your fingers and the girl gets a Ferrari. When period 3 rolls around, you're sat in class and you can hear the teachers wish.

"I wish they had their damn homework with them. And i wish it would be done..."

You click your fingers and everyone has their homework booklet and the answers are all there. For every question. All done.

The teacher sits a little shocked and as do the whole class. Then you hear an interesting one. From a girl you know to be Jade Thirlwall.

"I wish Y/n would like me back...."

You frown.

"She likes me?" You mutter under your breath.

After school, you spot Jade and run over to her. You quickly magic up a sheet of paper for an excuse to talk to her.

"Jade?"

She looks at you and her heart flutters.

"You dropped this. I recognized your handwriting." You say.

"Oh thank you. I didn't even realise. Musta slipped out of my bag." Jade says.

"It happens to the best of us." You say.

She smiles.

"If you want i could give you a lift home. Save you walking." You suggest.

"Are you sure?" She asks.

"I dont have to be straight home. I've kinda got free roam of wherever." You say.

"Lucky sod." She says.

You laugh. You both go to your car and get into it. You start the car.

"Why is my car so shit?" You mutter.

You click your fingers and the car 'fixes itself'. Jade sits a little surprised.

"How..... did you do that?" Jade asks.

You stomach sinks. You forgot Jade doesn't know about your ability.

"Do what?" You ask, starting to drive.

"Fix the car like that." She says.

"Just lucky i guess. One of those silly things you do to test your luck with the universe." You say, saving yourself from a possible exposure.

"Fair point. I do that a lot." Jade says.

"It's kinda fun dont you think?" You ask.

"Yeah it is pretty fun." Jade says.

You pull up outside her house and park the car.

"I guess I'll see you around school Y/n." She says.

"I guess so." You say.

She smiles. She leaves the car and goes into her house. You drive off the street but hear a wish. From Jade.

"I wish my mum would lemme do what Y/n's do. Let me stay out for as long as i want...."

You click your fingers. Within five minutes, you get a phone call. How she has your number beats you completely. You answer it.

"Hello?"

"Hey it's me again." Jade says.

"Hey Jade." You say.

"My mum said i can stay out late you wanna hang out?"

You smile.

"Yeah sounds good. I'll be back in a minute."

The call ends. You wait a few minutes and drive back onto her street. You pull up outside her house and reach to the door. You open the door and Jade runs over. She gets into your car and shuts your door.

"So what do you wanna do?" You ask.

You wind up driving to the makeout point and lay on the car roof. Just watching the stars.

"I wish she'd hold my hand."

You smile and take her hand into yours. She shuffles close to you and lays her head on your shoulder.

"Can i tell you something?" You ask.

She hums.

"Go for it." She says.

"I can hear people's wishes. And i have the ability to grant them." You say.

She sits up at gives you the 'dont believe you' look.

"Okay then. Wish for something. In your head, within reason, and I'll make it happen." You say.

"She wants a wish. I wish she'd kiss me. Then i wish for a Bugatti Veyron for shits and giggles. In.... Black and Red."

You roll your eyes, smile and kiss her. Why it takes her by surprise is beyond you. She kisses back and you then pull back.

"And for your second half of your wish." You say.

You click your fingers and a Bugatti Veyron, in Black and Red, appears. You pass her the keys.

"All yours love." You say.

She sits surprised.

"I- how is this possible?" She asks.

"Lets just say my parents might just be ancient gods." You say.

"Wow..... how many people know about this?" She asks.

"Just you, obviously my parents and my friends." You say.

"And.... everyone's wishes you hear, you can grant them?" Jade asks.

You nod.

"If you trust me, I'll show you tomorrow. On average, about 8 wishes are made a day and i grant pretty much all of them within reason." You say.

She nods.

"Also, before we get comfy again, will you go on a date with me?" You ask.

She smiles and nods.

"Yeah. I will." She says.

You smile. You both lay back down. She lays her head on your shoulder and takes one of your hands into hers. You intertwine your fingers and she lets out a relaxed sigh. You smile. Who knew?
