The silent kitten

Chapter 4

The next morning I woke up and got dressed in my usual clothes and fixed my feathers. I went down stairs and saw that my siblings were up. "Hey sis mom and dad are still asleep and won't wake up today so no need to sneak out just walk with us to school" Ruff says. I smile at my brother and sister who are smiling like crazy. "What are we waiting for then?" I ask with the traditional Thorston grin.

They got up while I grabbed a roll and we walked out of the house. I was walking between my brother and sister. We were all smiling and laughing. I was so happy, I was getting curious looks from all the Vikings we walked past. I was getting this thrill running through my body. I was finally being seen and in turn seeing all of these people. As we were walking to the school my siblings were throwing out hellos and what's ups and talking to people. Some of them they would say have you met my sister Kit? And it was like that the whole way there.

We finally made it to the school. when we walked in there was a girl with blonde hair I think Ruff and Tuff called her Astrid. And two boys one was very big and strong looking I think Tuff called him Fishlegs. And the other boy was short and looked arrogant I believe Ruff called him Snotlout. There was a big Viking standing against a wall. He was missing a leg and hand. I think this was Gobber. Hey my siblings tell me about everything, and I mean everything. One time Tuff went a little to far into describing--- I'm just gonna leave that thought.

We just walked in and were heading towards the strange group of teens. Before we got to close my siblings stood in front of me and said "play along" which I did these were their friends after all. We walked up to the group Ruff and Tuff pushed together trying to block the groups view of me. "Lady and gentle Vikings" Tuff started. The group looked at my siblings. "May we present the hidden beauty of the Thorston family" Ruff said in a posh accent. "Our beloved little sister who is our triplet" They slide away from each other saying in unison "Behold Kit Thorston!!! Their arms are directed at me and I'm being stared at by the others.

Silence.

"Hi you guys I heard a lot about you all from my brother and sister" I say with a bright smile looking at Fishlegs then Astrid then Snotlout. Silence. "Did we break them?" Tuff leans in and says to me. "Ya I think we broke them" Ruff says as she leans in as well. "I think that they are shocked. I mean wouldn't you guys be shocked if one of them came out with a sibling that has been hidden their whole life?" I ask them. The first one to get out of their shock was Fishlegs. "Are you really their sister?" He asks tentatively. "Yes I am" I tell him with a soft smile.

Snotlout snaps out of it and slides up to my side. I cringe a little at how fast he came to be beside me. "My name is Snotlout, I'm the most handsome man on Berk" He says in a husky voice. Astrid snapped and started to move forward but Snotlout was already laying on the ground a couple feet away from me. "Wha-what just happen?" Astrid said a little confused. She didn't even see anything.

I had done a fast kick to his feet and continued my spin and punched him a few feet away from me when he was still suspended in the air. "I fight with Ruff and Tuff all the time and so far neither one has been able to beat me" I say. "Isn't everyone strong enough to do that? I ask innocently. Astrid and Fishlegs jaws fell to the ground, while my brother and sister just looked at each other laughing. "See sis? I knew you would fit in, we just had to get you out of the house to make it happen" Tuff says as he wraps his arm around my shoulder smushing his face against mine. "Getting you out was so easy too, mom and dad don't even know what's going on right now!" Ruff says as she wraps her arm around my shoulder and smashes her face against mine. They kept pushing their faces in until i drop down and their faces collide with each other earning a yelp of pain from the both of them.

I chuckle to myself as they start to fight with each other. Astrid and Fishlegs walk up to me as my siblings fight. " It would be wrong to call them the twins now" Astrid says as she watches Ruff and Tuff fight. "You can still call them that I am their triplet but I don't look like them at all. The only thing that you can see a resemblance to is when we have or mischievous smile, that's literally the only thing that shows that I am related to them" I say smiling at my siblings. "Why haven't we met before? Where have you been?" Fishlegs asks looking down to me.

I sigh "I have been here on Berk this whole time. Our mother gave birth to us. Ruff and Tuff came out and mother thought she was done, but then I started to come out and when she saw me she said 'My little kitten the fairest and smartest of the family. She shall be our treasure and nobody is to know about her.' The only other person besides our family to know about me was Gothy because she was the midwife for our mother" I finishes my explanation. "Why were you hidden away for so long? And I still don't understand why you were locked away." Astrid says gruffly.

The 'twins' had stopped fighting and were walking up to us as we were talking. "Mom always said that Kitten was like the rare jewel that came only every few generations in the Thorston family and that every other Thorston that was born like her went off to do historical and amazing things" Ruffnut said picking her ear. I put my hands behind my head and sighed. They continued to talk about the Thorston family and some of the others that were born before us and what they did in life. I looked up and saw Hiccup walk in the school and walk over to Gobber. I snuck away from the group and slowly walked behind Hiccup I got down on my hands and knees slowly crawling up to him. When he stopped walking and started to talk to Gobber I pounced on him.
