The silent kitten

Chapter 43

I woke up to darkness. I couldn't see anything. I sat up and tried to look around but it was still really dark. I put my hand on something warm and ran my hand along side the warmth. I felt the scales and found the head. "Amenyx?" I ask. "Yes Kit it is I" She crooned to me. "I can't see even with my dragon eyes Nyx" I tell her trying to look around. "Here" She says and blasts a pile of wood lighting it on fire. I looked around and saw that we were in a cave.

"Hey Amenyx where are we?" I ask the dragon as I walk around looking for the exit. "We fell through the ceiling of this cave I have not found another opening except the one we came out of. It is to small for me to fly through and I didn't want to blast it bigger in fear of hurting you" She says as she stood up and walked up to me. "Well now we can blast it and fly back to Berk" I tell her. I run my hand over her head. "Did you get hurt at all?" I ask her hugging her neck. "No Kit I am perfectly fine" She says as she nuzzles my cheek.

"Then let us go home Amenyx" I say as I hop onto her back. "Ready?" I ask. "Lets go" She chirps. With that said we both prepared a plasma blast and launched it at the same time. The two blasts made the hole big enough for us to fly out of. Amenyx launched off the ground sent us through the hole. After we were out we saw that we had fallen into the side of the mountain. "Come on girl nobody is here. Lets go home and see Hiccup and Toothless" Amenyx let out a roar and we took off towards Berk as fast as we could.

As we neared the village we saw a lot of dragons on the buildings and Vikings petting or riding some. I was bewildered to see everyone being so kind and happy towards the dragon. I smiled and Amenyx gave a happy purr. We landed on a building top close to Hiccups home. I watched as everyone was enjoying themselves. I look to see Hiccup walk out of his house limping slightly and looking around in amazement. I smiled this is all because of him that everyone is getting along.

Everyone started to crowd around him congratulating him and patting him on the back. His dad and Gobber walked up to him with big smiles and talked to him for a minute. I was about to hop off of Amenyx and fly over to Hiccup when Astrid walks up to him and punches him in the shoulder. She then grabs him and kisses him full on the lips. My anger flared and tears came down my face. Hiccup didn't push her away he just stood there kissing her. I whimper softly and pull on Amenyx. She understood and took off into the sky.

I looked forward as the tears continued to fall. I will not return here. I will find my own home and start a new. Maybe I can learn more about myself and find some new dragons. Whatever I do it will be far away from here and hopefully I will forget the memories of this place. With that last thought I wiped the tears away and continued to look straight ahead towards the distant lands.
