The silent kitten

Chapter 39

I woke up to see the rafters of my room. I groan and sit up slowly feeling an ebbing pain in my shoulder. I look down to see it has been stitched and bandaged. I touch it tentatively wincing slightly from the pressure. I get up and walk to the door to go get water. As I get to the door I hear my brother and sister talking. I stop and listen to what they were saying. "-at the arena right now" I hear a husky voice say. "Hiccup?" I say to myself softly. I continue to listen. "Ok we will be there. I just need to check on Kit one more time" I hear Ruff say before I hear the door shut.

I quickly make my way back to the bed and lay in it just the way I woke up. I closed my eyes waiting for my siblings to come and check on me. The door to my room opened as my older siblings walked through it. I feel the bed dip as Ruffnut sits next to me. She brushes some hair away from my face. "You scared me really bad back there Kit. What happened to you? You have changed so much since you came out from hiding" She says softly. She sighed before she stood up. "Come on lets go to the arena and see what Hiccup wants" She says as she walks out of my room.

Tuffnut followed her out glancing back at me laying on my bed. "I'm just really glad that you are still alive and here little sister" He says softly before he closes the door and goes down stairs. I laid there until I heard the front door close. I sat up and looked to my door. A small smile came to my face. "I love you guys. I couldn't ask for better siblings" I say as I slide off the bed. I headed out to go find Amenyx from what I feel she is out there waiting for me. I peeked out the door and headed towards the forest. I passed by the arena and saw that Hiccup and my siblings where standing there waiting for the others to arrive.

I continued past the arena and ran through the forest to the cove. When I arrived I looked around not seeing my dragon friend. "Amenyx!" I called out in a roar. I stood there not hearing anything. I took a deep breath and let it out slowly closing my eyes. I started to make vibrations in my throat and sending them out. I let out a purple blast that surrounded me and spread out away from me. some waves bounced off and came back to me showing some of the animals in the forest. Finally one came back showing me that Amenyx was curled up in a cave.

I opened my eyes and formed my wings. I winced as my hair weaved into my right shoulder to make my wing. I slowly took off into the air heading towards the cave that I saw Amenyx laying in. As I got closer I let out a roar calling for her. "Amenyx! I'm ok! I've come for you!" I waited for a reply. The next thing I knew a black shape shot past me staying in place right in front of me. "Amenyx!" I shout in joy. I fly forward wrapping my arms around said dragon happily. Amenyx hugged me holding me as my wings turned back into my hair. She helps me climb onto her back and starts to glide softly up into the sky.

"Come on girl Hiccup has a plan to get Toothless back. He is at the arena" I tell her petting her head. She glances at me in worry probably thinking about the last time we were there in the arena. "It's ok girl all the Vikings left taking Toothless to fight the queen" I tell the dragon as she turns towards the arena. "Lets go save our friend" I say as we fly faster to the arena. We shot through the hole that was made the last time we were there. We landed surprising the group of teens. I sat up straight looking at them as the dragons all crooned at me. I looked at Hiccup with a smile "So what's the plan Hic?"
