"That was amazing!" "Great job Kit!" "That's my little girl!" All of these cheers and yells coming from our on lookers. I walk over to Hiccup rubbing my arms. I didn't like doing that but I didn't want Astrid to kill it either. I turn and look at the sleeping dragon. I walk up to it and grab one of its legs. I start to drag it to its cage and pull it in. I walk out and shut the door and go back to Hiccup. Everyone was still cheering and then we heard Stoic yelling "Wait Wait!!!" "So later" Hiccup says trying to pull me with him and walk out. "Oh oh not so fast" Gobber says hoisting Hiccup and I back beside him. I groan quietly.
"I- I'm kinda late for---" Hiccup starts before Astrid spins him around. "Late? Late for what exactly?" Astrid asks clearly angry. I just cross my arms across my chest and look up to our chief. "OK quiet down the elder has decided" He says stepping back and allowing Gothy to step forward. Gobber walks behind Astrid and Hiccup. Gobber puts his hook over Astrid and Gothy shakes her head no. He then does the same for Hiccup and Gothy again says no. He then walks behind me and points to me.
My grip tightens on my shirt I was trying not to look upset. I watched as Gothy looked at me with a kind smile and nods her head. My stomach drops and I smile up to her. I release my shirt and raise my hands up looking as happy as I could. I kept my hands in fists trying really hard not to cry and run out of the arena. "You did it Lass!" Gobber says bringing me into a hug. I chuckle and just go with it. There was so much cheering that it hurt my ears. "You get to kill the dragon!" Gobber says as the gang comes up to me. They hoist me up onto Fishlegs shoulders. We went around the arena at a solid jog.
I got high fives and praises form everyone as we past. When we past my parents I almost burst into tears. I held them down and gave a thumbs up and smiled big closing my eyes to them. "That's my girl!!!!" I hear my dad shout out in pride. "That's my little Kitten!!!!" My mom cheers with tears in her eyes. As we finished our victory lap I was put down and stumbled into Hiccup. "I---I need to go I'm gonna be sick" I mumble to the boy. He just gives me a small smile and we walk out of the arena.
