" I–'m sorry baby....I can't for now...meron kasi akong gagawin ngayon"
" Why are you always busy? It was 2nd week of June yet you're busy?" I asked on the other line.
" I–I'm sorry...next time nalang please?" she plead.
I sighed. " Fine. Don't lie to me Gianna."
" Thank you and I w-on't..." I don't know why she's stuttering. Gianna was not good at lying so I know when she's lying or not but I decided to trust her.
2nd week palang naman ng June kaya imposible na may academic work na agad sila. But I need to understand her. She's graduating student after all. Hindi na kasi ako nagtuturo sa department nila. Nalipat ako sa Fine arts major in Fashion design kaya hindi ko na mamonitor ang sched niya. I don't want to be an obsessed girlfriend so I don't want to monitor her schedule parin naman dahil baka isipin niyang masyado akong strict pagdating sakanya.
Summer break was good. Sometimes she would visit me in the house or in the company or I am the one who would visit her if I am not over the moon.
" Bakit hindi ko ata napapansin si Gianna simula noong pasukan?" Tiffany confusedly asked. " Pinupuntahan karin ba niya sa office mo?" She asked. I transferred to another building too since mahihirap ako kapag hindi ako lumipat and I also need a spacious place.
" Yeah. Sometimes she brought lunch for me. Why?" I asked while we are here, inside the canteen. Ngayon lang ako nakasabay sakanila dahil malayo mula rito ang building kung saan ako nagtuturo.
" Hindi ko rin kasi siya nakikita dito sa canteen eh pero baka nagbabaon na siya dahil nakakatamad naman talagang maglakad." I nodded my head.
" Or maybe she's busy for her commercials and photoshoot?" Ivy said.
" What?" I asked.
Kinuha nito ang phone niya at may pinakitang pictures saakin. " Kahapon ko lang to' nakita. Pinagkakaguluhan ng mga students ko kaya nalaman ko. Don't you know that she accepted the WHY Entertainment offered? Its one of the biggest talent agency. Noong summer break pa nagsimula ang workshop niya at nagkaroon agad siya ng mga commercials. I thought you knew about these." My lips parted but I composed myself. Natahimik sila at pinili nalang na ibahin ang usapan.
Why she didn't tell me about this? That's why she's always busy.
Nagpaalam muna ako na magccr lang ako. Saktong paglabas ko ng cubicle ay nandoon si Miss Febby. She smile at me and I nodded as a response.
" Ah. Can I ask you?" I nod. " Are you close with Gianna?"
I mentally gulp. Nalaman na ba niya na may relasyon kami?
" Why?" I tried to act like I'm not interested.
" Hindi kasi siya pumasok sa klase ko for two weeks now. I thought nagshift lang siya but when I asked the registrar office ay hindi pala siya nag-enroll. Lumipat ba siya ng ibang school or busy lang talaga siya sa pagpasok niya sa showbiz industry? Balita ko kasi isa siya sa bagong artista na nakuha ng WHY Entertainment. Not sure though."
I was taken a back of what I heard. So hindi pala talaga siya nag-enroll. She lied to me about her commercials and now malalaman ko nalang na hindi siya nag-enrol? for what? for spotlight?
Kinahapunan ay sinundo niya ako sa building namin. She greeted me with a sweet smile before kissing my cheeks nang makapasok ako sa kotse niya.
Napansin ko agad ang cap at black mask nito sa harapan. Maybe she's wearing them kapag lalabas siya dahil sikat na siya at pagkaguluhan siya kahit hindi pa ito tuluyang artista. Bakit hindi ko man lang napansin 'yon?
