Virgil took a deep breath as Roman walked him to a therapist Patton had suggested. Someone named Dr. Picani or whatever.

He still felt ashamed for what had happened the night before. It was just a stupid nightmare and some phantom pain, it shouldn't have sent him into a panic attack! Stars he was so weak.

Roman noticed the low ears and his frown, concern swelling up in the prince's chest. He squeezed Virgil's hand and promised, "It'll be alright. I've met Dr. Picani before! He's a friend of Patton, so he has to be a good guy."

Virgil nodded. "Yeah, yeah you're right. I'll be alright."

"That's the plan! And I'll be with you the whole time! Unless you don't want me there when you talk to him of course!"

"No!" The borrower panicked, squeezing Roman's hand tightly. "No, stay with me?"

The prince tried to not let that worry him more, failing miserably. "Of course, I'll be by your side no matter what."

Virgil felt his face burn in embarrassment. He looked away and covered his face with his free hand. "I'm sorry." He did it again, he panicked over the smallest thing. He's so pathetic.

"You don't need to be sorry for anything. You were hurt badly, and that scared you. I understand why you want me there."

"Thank you."

"If you need anything just ask me, and if you don't like this therapist then we can find a new one. We're doing this to help you, that's our goal here, just remember that."

Virgil nodded. "Okay... I can do this."

"And I'll be by your side!"

"I'm glad. Thank you for all of this. I'm sorry about last night."

"Don't apologize for that! There's nothing to be sorry for!"

"I worried you, a lot too."

"You're worth worrying about. I don't want you to feel sorry for worrying me. I want to help you in any way I can. I love you so much."

"I love you a lot too."

Roman smiled, giving Virgil's hand a squeeze. "Okay then, we're here."

Virgil looked up to see them at the trunk of a tree, stairs carved into the roots leading into the tree. The borrower took a deep breath and took the lead. They're here to help him, this will help him. There's nothing to be afraid about.

He pushed the door open to see a waiting room. It was empty except for two fairies, one behind a counter and the other leaning against it from the other side.

The one behind the counter had pink wings and a brown vest. Underneath he wore a shirt made from pink flower petals, and he had wooden glasses. The other one had silver wings. He had a jacket made from black flower petals, a shirt made from woven spiderwebs underneath. Virgil shivered at the memory of his nightmare.

"Oh! Prince Roman!" the one with pink wings said. "What brings you here?"

"Sup girl," the one with gray wings greeted.

"Hello Emile! I hope I got your name right," Roman said.

"Don't worry, you did," he reassured.

"And Remy, don't you have work?"

"Daisy gave me the day off!" Remy told him. "So I decided to visit this ray of sunshine."

"Oh, hush," Emile gushed. "Oh, and this must be the famous borrower! Virgil, right?"
