CW: mentions of an execution and severed heads (everyone thank Remus for that second one)

Thomas sighed sadly, sitting on the back porch with Nico next to him. He held the witch's hand, feeling defeated.

"We should probably pack up a few things and get that storage unit," Thomas said. "Then we can sell the house and the land. We only have a few days to do so."

"I'm sorry that we have to do it," Nico told him. "But hey, maybe we can get a small house with the money!"

"Yeah, but we won't have the world's most interesting neighbors if we do," Thomas laughed dryly, trying not to be so down. Still, his smile dropped. "I'm also losing a place that has been in my memories for so long. I remember playing out here all the time whenever we visited our grandparents."

"At least you'll still have pictures! I know it's not the best, but it's not like you're losing everything."

"That's true. I guess it doesn't really matter where I live, as long as I have the memories. And you."

Nico smiled at him, sighing sadly. "Yeah... still, I never really had much of a chance to talk with the fairies. Oh, and their borrower friend, I hope he's doing okay."

"Well, you healed him so I'm sure he is." Thomas looked back out to the woods, seeing something flying there way. "Speak of the tiny devils! I think that's them!"

Roman landed on the dirty glass outdoor table, setting Virgil down as the other four also landed there.

"We have some good news!" Roman told them, smiling wide.

"A lot of news actually," Remus added. "A lot has happened since we last saw each other! We killed the fairy that cursed Virgil!"

"What?!" Thomas shouted in surprise.

"He was captured and put on trial for... several crimes actually," Logan explained. "He had a long list, but the biggest being treason, murder, and the use of dark magic. For all of those, he was executed."

"I helped capture him!" Remus added. "Meanwhile Virgil and Patton made sure Roman didn't drown because he fell into the frozen river or whatever."

"I didn't mean to!" Roman argued. "Ignis is to blame for that!"

"Virgil almost drowned in the river twice now!"

"I'm the only reason we didn't drown!" Virgil reminded him.

"Actually that brings us to the good news!" Roman told the giants, who both looked worried. "We think we found that treasure you told us about!"

"I-I'm sorry, what?" Thomas asked again. "So much just happened. You guys are going to need to start from the beginning, and then show us where the treasure is?"

"I second that," Nico said. "There's a treasure? Why was I never told this? There's so much you need to fill in."

They found themselves telling them everything. Ignis fighting them, the twisted plants, Virgil jumping into the river to save Roman and losing his knife. Then Logan explained the trial, how Ignis was guilty of assult, several attempts of murder, actual murder, treason, and the use of dark magic. Since all were heavily punished crimes, it was no surprise when he was announced to be immediately executed.

Almost an hour later, Virgil found himself holding on tight to Nico's shirt, riding on his shoulder as they walked towards the waterfall. Roman was flying next to him, making sure he wouldn't fall. Patton and Remus sat on both of Thomas's shoulders. The other two opted to just fly.

"Over there!" Virgil pointed out. "That should be it!"

As Thomas and Nico walked over to the waterfall, carefully walking on the slippery rocks that lead downhill, the fairies and Virgil were able to see how small the waterfall looked to them. It didn't even reach their hips! This was the same waterfall that almost killed both Roman and Virgil!
