Roman sighed in disappointment. He really didn't want the human to leave, they've learned so much! And it seems like even Virgil was relaxing in the giant's home! It wasn't fair.

But after their talk about that, Logan started asking questions about the human's phone. The prince found himself getting bored, but he didn't really have any questions for the human that would change the topic.

Virgil's ear twitched and he looked over to the front door. "What's that sound?"

"What sound?" Thomas asked, looking towards the front. He saw a car pull up the driveway and frowned. "That's weird, no one said they were coming over today."

"Who's that then?" Janus asked as a man climbed out of the back seat. He had a bag over his shoulder and a suitcase in his other hand.

His skin was tan and his hair was a dark brown. He had black glasses and had a small beard growing.

"Ah! That's my boyfriend! I told him he didn't have to come over!" Thomas said as Nico started to walk towards the house.

Before he knocked, Thomas quickly opened the backdoor. "You guys should go, I don't think he's ready to meet you guys yet, humans don't know fairies exist and I don't know how he'll react. It was nice to see you again though, and it would be nice if you came back!"

"Aw man, that's no fun," Remus pouted.

"Stop moping," Roman told his brother, already picking up Virgil who was getting used to it at this point. "Let's hurry up and leave, we don't want to scare the other human."

They all jumped when they heard a loud knock from the front door. As quickly as possible, they left and Thomas closed the back door.

He quickly walked over to the front door, smiling as he opened it. "Nico!" he greeted, holding his arms out for a hug.

"Mr. Sanders!" Nico joked, hugging back.

"You're never going to let that go, are you?"

"Never."

Thomas pulled away from the hug. It's been half a year now and Nico still teases him over things that happened when they first met, in a light hearted way of course.

"What the heck are you doing here? I told you that you didn't have to come," Thomas reminded him.

"Yeah, but if you're going to lose this place I want to see it at least once. And I have to say, I really love it here! It feels so... magical."

Thomas laughed, mostly to himself. If only he knew... "Well, I'm not going to have it much longer."

"I told you I can help with your debt, you just won't let me."

Thomas took Nico's hands in his own. "I love that you care, but I'd feel bad if you had to help me."

"Well we're dating now, we're supposed to help each other."

"Let's worry about that later, right now let's find a room for you."

"Well, that's disappointing," Remus whined.

"We have been there for quite awhile, and we should get something to eat," Logan suggested. "We can always visit again later."

"His boyfriend looks nice!" Patton commented.

"Hopefully he won't pass out if he ever sees us," Roman added.

"Let's slow down there," Virgil told him. "So far, one human already knows we exist. I'm not in a rush to tell every human."

"Fine, you don't have to meet him if you don't want to. I did say if he ever sees us after all."

The borrower smiled slightly, knowing Roman only gave in so quickly because he's been bringing him out of his comfort zone a lot more often. "Thank you."

"Only for you, little mouse."

"Well I wanna meet him some day!" Remus said.

"Only if Thomas allows us to," Logan reminded him. "This other human is his boyfriend after all."

"That's so boring though!"

"It's only fair."

"Fine, I'll play by your rules. But I'm not happy about it."

"Thank you dear."

"I'm getting really hungry," Patton complained. "How much further until we get home?"

"We haven't even reached the river yet, so maybe 20 minutes," Janus said.

"If we race we can get home faster!" Remus suggested. "Us four against Roman and Virgil?"

"That's hardly-" Roman went to complain, but Virgil held his hand up.

"We don't need a third person to beat them," the borrower reassured him.

The prince smiled at him. "Alright then, four against two. Let's do it!"

Remus grabbed Patton and Logan's hands, Patton grabbing Janus's hand. "See you when you get home!" he shouted, already flying off pulling his boyfriends in tow.

Roman grabbed Virgil's hand and started flying ahead, but Virgil pulled him back with a large smile on his face.

"What the heck? They're going to beat us!" Roman reminded him. He was not going to let his brother beat him after those taunts. He will prove that he and Virgil were faster than those four!

"Let them, that way they can't bother us on our own," Virgil said. The second Remus brought up racing, he got the idea. He was very glad that none of the four looked back to see where they were.

The prince couldn't help but laugh, "That's smart! I like it better when it's just the two of us."

"Well, Patton is cool to hang out around. But yeah, it's better when it's just us."

Roman glanced at Virgil with a wide smile on his face. He realized they were still holding hands and felt his face heat up, but he didn't dare let go. Instead, he found himself walking closer to the borrower.

"When we get back we can head over to Daisy's Honey," Roman suggested. "She usually stocks up on honey during the year so she'll still have some left in the winter."

"Stars I would love to," Virgil told him. "I love honey so much."

"Should I perhaps start calling you honey mouse instead of little mouse?"

The borrower blushed deeply. "Don't you dare, little mouse is embarrassing enough."

"Is it embarrassing? Or do you just get flustered?" Roman leaned closer to him.

Virgil pushed him away with his free hand. "Oh shut up! You're so embarrassing!"

The prince laughed and let go of Virgil's hand before scooping him up. The borrower covered his mouth before he could let out a shout, feeling his face heat up more.

"We'll we're at the river. Time to fly you over," Roman said.

Virgil didn't even realize they were at the river until the prince said it, he was too focused on Roman and his teasing. However he was grateful that they were at the river since the distraction helped calm the blush on his face.

Plus it gave him an excuse to lean against the prince without it seeming weird. Yeah, he didn't like flying all too much, but he was okay with Roman holding him while they were in the air. He trusted the prince.
