Steve?

At school it's the usual routine of ignore each other start a fight and then when everyone has left the changing room after basketball and they're definitely not coming back, have sex in the showers.

Today Billy seems a bit off though, he gets closer when he's teasing me in basketball and during our fights he snuck a kiss on the cheek, luckily no one noticed. Or so we thought.

"Oh Steve, you sure are doing an excellent job at keeping your relationship a secret." Robin runs up to me giggling

"Keep your voice down!" I hiss "and what are you on about?"

"Oh you know, how Billy snuck in that kiss during your fight" she giggles again

"WHAT?" I yell getting some weird looks. She continues to giggle "Oh is that Tammy looking for you?" I say

"What where?" She says frantically looking around. Ik take the opportunity to run away but I get pulled into a storage cupboard

"Hey" I turn around so quick I almost fall over

"Are you crazy we're so gonna get caught" I whisper. He takes no notice of my comment and proceeds to pull me closer kissing me

"Billy, babe, I would love to do this but not here we could get caught and someone could tell your dad" I whisper. He grumbles but let's go. We here the bell go for the end of the day, we don't have basketball today so when the halls are clear we quietly leave the cupboard. Billy grabs my hand and pulls me to the parking lot but before we are in sight of anyone he whispers "meet me at the quarry" and walks off to his car.

"Steve?" I hear a familiar voice making me freeze on the spot "Steve? Are ok bud" I turn around to see Dustin stood behind me staring up at me

"What are you doing here?" I Alaskan trying to hide my embarrassment

"We skipped school, we wanted to make sure that there were no demogorgons, thought I would surprise you" he smiles at me "what did Billy say to you, I swear if he hurts you we will feed him to the demogorgons" Dustin threatens

"No he didn't hurt me, he was just telling me that I'm shit at basketball" I say trying to cover up what happened

"Hmm, ok well let's get going" he says happily walking to my car.

Later

I meet Billy at the quarry after dropping Dustin off at the Byers house. He's sat on the hood of his Camaro staring up at the sky. I pull over and join him

"Bout time pretty boy"he says turning to look at me

"You know Dustin caught you whispering to me and threatened to kill you" I say trying to be serious, which he was making quite difficult

"Hm really" he says making a thinking face

"Hey be nice" I say poking him in the side, this only resulted in him rolling so he was now above me straddling me. He leans down and kisses me, somehow my hands managed to end up in his hair.

"Mama Steve, tut tut tut, you really shouldn't do that in public you know" Billy flings himself off me and I look to my left seeing a very smug looking Max with El stood beside her

"This isn't really public"I counter "and what did you call me?"

"Mama Steve" El says as Max giggles

"Shut up you two" Billy almost yells at them making me jump, I forgot he was there

"Are you jealous, don't worry if you marry mama Steve you can be our dad" Max's  giggles get louder

"Shut. UP!" Billy yells at her making her go quiet quickly "Don't you dare tell anyone"

"Course, I wouldn't tell anyone if dad found out he would kill you, then I wouldn't have someone do drive me places" smiling at him

"I won't say anything either" El says also smiling

The two girls (mostly Max) bribe Steve and Billy into driving them home.

"Alright here we are" Steve says smiling at El. Before she gets out she turns to Steve and says "I like Max" Steve sits there for s few minutes processing what she just said, it's normal for her to be this blunt.

"That's sweet" he finally says

"Do you think she likes me?" She asks looking down at her hands sheepishly

"I don't know, Max is like her brother they're hard to read, I didn't know Billy liked me till he just kissed me" Steve says trying to not make the girl uncomfortable

"So you think it's possible for her to like me" El looks up hopefully

"Of course" He smiles

With that El said her goodbye and walked into the house.
