You been robbed
You been used
Now you're confused
Ain't it the truth

How do you reconcile with your boyfriend, who you lost for 5 years, and then mutually agreed to pause the relationship? It's complicated to say the least... from awkward conversations to semi-awkward conversations.

Since the Karli incident, my six weeks back on the U.S. have flown by. I booked a ticket to San Francisco for a month, then headed straight to New York. I loved my family, but bad things seemed to happen every time I stay too long. So I decided to go to the East Coast for a while, helping Pepper with the Avengers compound through small inspections.

Today, I picked up Peter from school. It was a trippy experience, but I'll take whatever quality time I can get. I went on my motorcycle, earning death glares from students like Flash. That got him my middle finger... and a 'sudden gush of wind' that knocked over his stuff.

When we entered Peter's building, I noticed there was a 'for sale' sign on the door next to his. I crossed my arms. "Hey, your neighbor is putting her apartment to sale. That's cool."

He introduced the keys into the doorknob grunting. "Mrs. Jillian? Yeah, she reached the maximum level of cats allowed. I heard her complaining to her grandson on the phone."

"Aww, I'm gonna miss seeing her cats on the hallway." I met her once or twice when I stayed late for school projects. She seemed very nice.

When we entered and I settled myself in the couch, I realized I had some missed calls. Weird. "Hey, have you been getting phone calls from an unknown number? It's been the fourth time today and I usually don't get any."

"Yup. I let it go straight to voicemail." He opened a bag of bread to make his PB&J sandwich. "Happy says it's probably Nick Fury, but it doesn't matter."

"Nick Fury?" I coughed on the sip I just had from water. "Fuck. why didn't you tell me before?!"

"I didn't think it was important." Then he gave me one of the sandwiches he made.

I rolled my eyes. "Peter Benjamin Parker, such a bad boy."

He shrugged devilishly. "What can I say? I am a man full of surprises."

Setting my giggle aside, I put my serious face on. "I'm gonna have to call him back. Who knows, maybe he wants me to hack into the Pentagon or something."

"I just got you back and you want to go straight into action again?" His mood changed in a matter of second. Now he seems... pissed?

My eyebrows furrowed, trying to analyze the situation. "That's what keeps me going... besides you, of course. And my family. And building stuff."

"(Y/n), I'm serious. Maybe we should keep it on the down low. Y'know, friendly neighborhood stuff. I'm sick of out as Spiderman and being bombarded by questiones about... Tony. I keep freezing and wanting to yell at them to go away. I-I-I hate it.... don't you?"

Oh, great. Now I broke him. I sighed. "I get what you're saying, but I'm not made for peace and quiet. You're not made for peace and quiet. Besides, I promised Tony I'd be worth fighting for. I owe him at least that."

Not a day goes by that I don't think about Tony. He'd probably be bossing me around right now. I prefer his screams over his silence any time.

"Maybe you were ready to say goodbye, but I didn't get 5 extra years with him," he deadpanned.

"Peter, I—"

He grimaced. "You got your goodbyes and to go through all kinds of bonding with him, but I didn't get that. I just died in his arms to wake up and see him die in mine."
