It's hard to say you're sorry
When you can't tell wrong from right

I had some major catching up to do with my friends. MJ updated me on her book collection of the month, Peter on the Happy-May situation, and Ned on his little fling with Betty.

The dice rolled as he seriously responded: "Men and women grow apart, but the journey they share together will always be a part of them."

"Bullshit," I laughed.

MJ nudged my arm. "That's what I said!"

My Captain America piece moved the 5 spaces the dice indicated. "Does somebody own 'Stark tower'?"

We found a coffee shop where you could rent board games, so that was obviously where our nerd reunion/excuse to throw a party occurred. Given the irony, we rented the Avengers version of Monopoly. Most of the properties were made up, like 'Avengers Underground Base' and 'Black Widow's Loft'. However, it was still very fun.

Ned waved his property card in the air. "I do. Give me 350."

After I gave him the cash, I gently smashed my head against the table. "Great. Now I'm broke in the game and in real life." But it was worth it when Peter rubbed my back as comfort.

"Order for MJ?" The waiter called out from the counter.

MJ slid across the booth to pick up our order. "At least you'll always have caffeine. Sponsored by yours truly." I clapped as she did a little bow.

"I'm getting bored. Should we rent another game?" Ned complained.

She brought back the tray with the coffee, donuts, and croissants. "No. I wanna beat your capitalistic empire."

"Same," Peter chimed in.

Although Ned shook his head. "Dude, you'll probably get another 'Go To HYDRA' card or something. Get off your high horse."

His little smile twisted in offense. "That's a bit harsh."

We took a small break to eat. Given we probably weren't going to be able to hang out soon, I decided it was time to give them my update. I left my coffee on the table. "Guys, I wanna tell you something really important."

"Go for it."

I took a deep breath. "I've been meditating. With all of you guys about to start college, I figured out, why not try out myself? So I'll apply for college next year."

"Go, (Y/n)!" MJ cheered.

"Yes!"

Peter slung his arm around me. "That's my girl. What're you thinking career-wise?"

I shoved off the butterflies that had just formed on my stomach to nonchalantly answer the question. "Something tech-related. I'm stuck between computer programming and information systems. I just want a title that says I'm professional at one of the only things I'm good at."

Ned pounded the table in excitement. "You should apply to MIT with us!"

"You sure? Wouldn't it be kind of weird?"

"Not at all," MJ bellowed.

"I think I'd love it more if you went with us," my boyfriend argued.

Ned drummed a beat on the table. "Like, imagine the four of us walking down the hallways of MIT. We'd be the owners of the place."

"As long as we can escape Flash, we'll be the emperors of any community college," I chuckled.

"It's gonna be awesome. I can feel it." He raised his cardboard cup. "To MIT."
