(Little author's note: I feel like this song reflects how (Y/n) and Peter's journey ends in the story. I'd recommend playing it during or after reading as a 'roll credits' type of thing. Enjoy! ~Winter ❅)
You and me
We're invincible... together
We can be, oh, so tragical... whateverA month later...
No One's POV:
It was a normal cold, late-December day in New York: people working, no Spiderman or Killer Bee to be found, whispers of snow— Oh wait, this isn't a normal day.
In a city where people were dashing with the objective of finishing their last Christmas shopping items while trying not to freeze due to the cold gushes of wind, Peter Parker decided it was the day he fought back against time.
Deep breaths, he thought to himself. All you have to do is take deep breaths.
With a promise willing to keep, this would be the day he'd tell everything to his memory-lost friends and girlfriend. It had taken him several weeks to prepare himself before uttering a single word in their presence. He had only seen them in pictures or in the distance, laughing with each other, sharing stories, going to eat.... whatever activity came to mind.
A small piece of him hoped he would have to intervene and have his heart shattered in a cruel-like, selfish way. Truth is, he just wanted to spend time with them.
Each of his friends-turned-strangers had a mention on the pieces of paper clutched in his firm, cold grasp. During his week, he wrote a rundown of their relationship over the years. After all, what was more personal than his thoughts written by hand? And he figured he'd be too nervous or too scared to improvise or utter a word in the heat of the reunion.
The jacket and beanie helped him keep warm to his first stop: MJ's donut shop. As he walked closer and closer to the store, he pondered: Would the spell continue working if they knew the truth? Could he handle the inevitable pressure of confessing what happened to his best friends?
Only one way to find out.

On the other side of New York City stood a very occupied, similarly anxious (Y/n) Lang.
She was finishing a last-minute project for Stark industries the current CEO had begged her to work on. Since Mrs. Potts was in charge of her university scholarship, she agreed in a heartbeat, though she would've agreed to help either way.
So, her last days of the year would be spent in The Big Apple, cooped up on the third floor of the Avengers Campus with a bunch of nerds way snobbier than her. The floor was named Romanoff Investigation, Visualization, and Entrepreneurial Room, or RIVER for short. Each one of the members had an office, but hers was the biggest one, and the only one with (C/n)'s program installed.
The preselected playlist mixed by (C/n) played 'Vienna' from Billy Joel, the perfect tune for Christmas-like concentration. (Y/n) hummed along until her phone vibrated. As she lifted the top of her welding helmet, she mirrored the screen into the digital whiteboard on her left.
A familiar face, covered up in Band-Aids and bruises, greeted her. (Y/n) beamed. "Hey, Clint. Long time no see! How're the kids and Mrs. Barton?"
He smirked at the screen. The archer and she weren't on daily speaking terms, but they maintained occasional contact pre and post-Blip. Usually, he reached out to ask for advice on what gifts to buy his children or on possible additions to his special arrow collection while (Y/n) wondered about fighting techniques or just begged for an anecdote from his SHIELD days.
